In the colorful coral reef in the Indian Ocean lived
blue fishes. The blue fishes didn’t know the other
fishes or animals that existed at sea.

The group of blue fishes was a family: mother fish,

father fish, and a boy fish.

3
This lovely family didn’t know that the sea is very
large and there are many different animals.
In addition, like the rest, they didn’t know about
other places in the sea. It is important to mention
that, for fishes, the sea is their whole world, and for
them, there is no land at all.

4
They called their child “our special fish” because
they thought he was very special (usually parents
think that their child is special because, for parents,
he is the most special of all children).

5
One day, the curious blue fish decided he wanted to
find out if there is more life outside the known shore.
He talked about it with his parents and told them
about his intentions to swim outside the familiar
blue fish shore.

6
His parents objected to this and pointed out
that it is not worth swimming off the shore of the
blue fish, since it would be very dangerous and
frightening. But, in the same breath, his parents
emphasized to him that everyone has his own
life, and he needs to know and decide what is
good for him.

7
His parents added that he had to decide how
curious he really is.

8
The fish thought ... thought ... thought and
thought a little more... and asked himself.
“Is it really important for me to find out
what is in the Big Sea?”

9
“Can I swim far from my house to places that
none of the blue fishes has ever been?”
“Can I be far from home and from my parents?”

10
And he thought a little more about whether he
could overcome his fears... After many thoughts,
The Fish decided wholeheartedly that he could
overcome the fear, and it was important for him to
satisfy his curiosity.

11
On Sunday morning, the curious blue fish set off ...
He began his journey swimming toward the great
unknown sea. He didn’t know where he was going,
but he was determined to swim to the sea and
realized that the trip would be long, dangerous
and sometimes frightening.

12
The fish decided he had to be aware of
creatures he didn’t know. When he entered
the heart of the sea, which was really deep
in the sea, a giant white shark with sharp
teeth appeared. For the first time in his life,
he saw an animal different from the blue
fishes he had seen all his life.

13
Suddenly, he noticed there are other
animals in the water, and they are all
different colors and different sizes.

14
At first, he was very concerned about the size of
the shark and, of course, frightened of his great
teeth.
Mostly, he was afraid of something that he had
not known before. (We are usually afraid of
things we do not know, and after we know them,
we see that what we thought at the beginning is
not always true).

15
The white shark approached the fish slowly and
was very nice to him. The shark asked, “How are
you not afraid to be alone in such a big sea,
especially when you are such a small fish?”
The fish didn’t know what to answer and could
not say a single word. The shark realized the
fish was afraid and rushed to offer him help.

16
The shark said: “I am very bored, and I do not
have much to do. I can be a vehicle for you
and a guard, so you can travel the big sea
quickly and safely. What do you think?”

17
The fish thought and seriously considered the
shark’s offer. He noticed the shark had good
intentions and accepted the shark’s offer.

18
19
They began to swim into the giant sea. They
saw fishes in all colors, red fishes, orange fishes,
striped fishes, glowing fishes, and even fishes
with beautiful paintings on their bodies. Later,
they met sea-horses, sea-turtles, sea-butterflies,
and many different species of animals living in
the sea.

20
The fish said to the shark: “Look how many species
of fish and animals are in the sea. It’s so beautiful
to see that everyone has different opinions,
a different way of life, and everyone has a place in
the sea.
No one determines who is better, who is more
beautiful, who is smarter, and who is doing things
in the most correct way.

21
It looks like it is possible to accept all and learn
from everyone because each one has the beauty
and wisdom that suits him. As I am special to my
parents, others are special to their parents.”

22
The fish and the shark continued their journey
and discovered new things each time. It was very
interesting and fascinating for them.
One night, the fish was sad, and he began to feel
a strong longing for his parents and for the group
of blue fishes he loved so much.

23
He said to the shark: “I think it’s time to go home.
I feel like I’ve seen a lot of new and interesting
things, and now I want to go back to where I feel
most at home.”

24
The white shark began to swim when the blue
fish was on its back. A few weeks passed, and
they began to approach the colorful coral reef in
the Indian Ocean where the blue fishes live.

25
The fish parted sadly from the white shark and
decided to go alone to his house.

26
It was Friday when all the blue fishes
ate their dinner together,
and suddenly, they saw the fish
approaching them.

27
They began to rejoice and raise strong voices,
it started a lot of strong waves and currents
that symbolized their joy.
Everyone embraced him and talked to him and
kept asking him many different questions.

28
His parents didn’t ask him anything. They just
wanted to hug him hard and for a long time ...
They whispered in his ears,
“You are so special to us. We love you very much
and we are very proud of you.”

29
All night, the blue fishes stayed awake
and celebrated the return of the fish.
There were quite a few fishes who wanted to
hear everything the fish told them and even
planned their journey with the fish.
The fish thought to himself - it’s so good to be home.
