1.0 Backgroung summary – one paragraph


2.0 Rationale ( ie purpose of research )
3.0 Objectives ( 3 to 4 questions funder each objective).
4.0 Methodology
i) identify what research you will undertake ie primary, secondary or both and provide
justification for your chosen research type.
- Identify your sources of information for chosen research type ie internal , external or both

ii) select your research design, and justify ie is it exploratory, casual etc

iii) state whether data collection will be qualitative or quantitative or both & justify

iv) Explain how data will be collected for the chosen resaech type ( primary /secondary ) – ie are

you using Focus group, postal survey, personal interview, etc

- Briefly explain how each of the data collection methods selected ( say, focus group,postal
survey , personal interview , email survey etc ) above will be handle . e,g questinnaires for
the postal survey will be sent by post to respondents.
5.0 Sampling process
- Identify appropriate sampling method to be used ( ie Probability or non-probability
sampling).
- Justify your choice of sampling method ( ie probability if there is a sampling frame or non-
probability if there is no sampling frame ).
6.0 Data Analysis

e.g talk about data validation to be used if it is secondary research.

7.0 Budget

- cost the tasks to be undertaken e.g printing, postage of questionnaires

- also include timeline in the budget for the tasks tasks ,

8.0 Curriculum Vitae e.g
