3. Sentence Outline

Ⅰ. The Primary Causes of Climate Change

A. Burning of fossil fuels such as coal and oil cause climate change.
1. Burning of coals emit carbon dioxide, which is not good for the atmosphere.
2. Burning of oils emit carbon dioxide, which is not good for the atmosphere
B. Greenhouse Gases are one of the primary cause on why the global temperature
increases.
1. Carbon Dioxide traps heat coming from the sun. Too much of it will become
bad for the environment as it traps more heat resulting in the increase of the
global temperature.
2. Water Vapor is the most abundant greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. As the
temperature rises, more water is evaporated from the ocean resulting in the
increase of the global temperature.
3. Chlorofluorocarbons deplete the ozone layer resulting in the increase of the
global temperature.
C. The melting of icebergs and glaciers is not good at all because it adds more
water to the ocean as it melts.
D. The increase of the global temperature means more water will be evaporated
from the ocean, resulting in more creation of clouds.

Ⅱ. The Effects of the Primary Causes of Climate Change

A. Ozone layer protects us from the sun’s ultraviolet radiation, but as more oils and
more coals are getting burned, the ozone layer starts to deplete making the
planet vulnerable to the sun’s ultraviolet radiation.
B. Greenhouse gases are gases that traps heat coming from the sun. As
greenhouse gases increases, more heat is going to be trap resulting to the
increase of global temperature.
C. Sea level will continue to rise due to the melting of icebergs and glaciers.
Icebergs and glaciers melt because of the climate change. The increase of global
temperature makes the icebergs and glaciers melt.
D. The storm will become stronger and more intense as the global temperature
increases because more water vapor will be condensed in the air resulting in
more clouds that will become thunder storms when heat is added to the clouds.

4. Persuasive Essay

Climate change is happening rapidly. The global temperature is increasing. The

icebergs and glaciers are melting. The sea levels are rising. The storms are becoming
stronger and more intense. The ozone layer is depleting. No one can save the planet
that we live in except us, humans. We need to act now before it is too late. Let us
prevent climate change from happening rapidly by planting trees, lessen the use of
vehicles, stopping deforestation, stopping smoke belching, and stop burning things.
There will be no future for us all if we are not going to stop climate change from
happening rapidly.
