What is a grease interceptor?

• In general, we call it grease trap.

• It trap the grease from the wastewater before entering the sewer
waste system.

• We are looking at main source of grease is from kitchen wastewater.

What are the problems caused by grease?

• When it is not properly intercepted and trapped, grease will creates a

lot of problems.

Accumulate into large masses and clogs pipes.

Grease adheres to internal pipe surface reduces flow and eventually
clogged the pipe.
Cost of repair works increases.

What is Thermal Inversion ?
Efficiency losses that result from warm kitchen effluent rising up in a
grease trap to displace a portion of the existing grease mat and flood
the outlet flows with grease.
