presentation

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or The students will review about the previous lesson using pictures. They will
presenting the new lesson discuss/explain each picture in 2 to 3 sentences.

B. Establishing a purpose of the The teacher will show different pictures.

lesson

Ask the following questions:

1. What can you say about the pictures?
2. Describe what you can see on each picture.
3. What is happening in the image?
4. What can you learn from examining this image?
C. Presenting Examples / Presenting a video clip about checking computer system and networks for
instances of the new lesson maintenance.

Ask the students to do the following during video clip presentation.

1. Look deeply at the video
2. Write down what you see without making any interpretation about what
the video is trying to say.
3. Write what questions they have about the video that would need to be
answered.
D. Discussing new concepts and 1. What have you noticed on the video?
practicing new skills #1 2. What can you learn after viewing this video?
3. What tools/processes were used to check and maintain computer system
and networks?
4. Why do we need to check the different computer processes as reflected on
the video?
5. Is there any other way of checking and maintaining computer system and
networks?
6. If you will do this today, what would be different?
7. What would be the same?
E. Discussing new concepts and Group Activity: Checking and Identifying Computer Faulty System (20 minutes)
practicing new skills #2 Using differentiated instruction the students will be grouped alphabetically.
Group 1: Poem- Screen is blank
Group 2: Rap – Memory Module Problem
Group 3: Reporting – Screen goes blank periodically
Group 4: Role Playing – Keyboard failure/keys do not function/keyboard is locked
Group 5: Demonstration- After installing an expansion card the system no longer
works properly.
F. Developing mastery Game: Roll the Pin
(Leads to Formative The students will give the possible cause of different computer errors, its diagnosis
Assessment)
and give a possible solution.
1. Screen is blank
2. Memory module problem
3. Screen goes blank periodically
4. Keyboard failure
5. Keys do not function
6. Keyboard is locked
7. System no longer works properly after installing expansion card

G. Finding practical applications of Where can you apply the concepts of checking/ analyzing first the problems before
concepts and skills in daily giving solution to it?
living
H. Making generalizations and Questions to be asked:
abstractions about the lesson a. What will you do if you noticed that there is something wrong with your
computer?
b. Why is it important to follow instructions in checking computer faulty system?
c. How will you apply the different suggested solutions in different computer
errors/problems??
I. Evaluating learning Complete the table by filling in possible cause, diagnosis and possible solution to
different computer errors/problems meta strips below.

job/ service order or instructions and specifications
Directions: Make an interview and observation with a practitioner. Showcase what
you have learned through a video demo or tutorials. Use digital cameras or
cellphones on recording the video. You will be rated based on the rubrics written
below:
