We all know that the Himalayas are beautiful mountains to the north of India.
Some of the world’s 3rd highest peak are in the Himalayas. The highest peak
is the mount Everest. The tops of the mountains are covered with snow
throughout the year. Therefore, we call them the Himalayas or “the abode of
snow”. Many rivers such as the Ganges, the Jamuna, the Brahmaputra, the
Beas etc. flow from these mountains. The scenery of there mountains is so
charming that people have built many hill station there.
