CHAPTER I — CONCEPT
Attached herewith is a copy of the full text of the renumbered Labor Code of the
Philippines, as amended.

3. Sec. 44 (Repealing Clause), Art. X (Final Provisions) of RA No. 10361 provides: "All articles or
provisions of Chapter III (Employment of Househelpers) of PD No. 442, as amended and
renumbered by RA No. 10151, are hereby expressly repealed. All laws, decrees, executive
orders, issuances, rules, and regulations or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions
of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
4. Inserted by RA No. 10151, "An Act Allowing the Employment of Night Workers, Thereby
Repealing Articles 130 and 131 of Presidential Decree No. 442, as amended, otherwise
known as the Labor Code of the Philippines".
5. Repealed by Section 16, Batas Pambansa Bilang 130, August 21, 1981. Reinserted by reason
of Republic Act No. 10396, "An Act Strengthening Conciliation-Mediation as a Voluntary
Mode of Dispute Settlement for all Labor Cases, Amending for this Purpose Article 228
of Presidential Decree No. 442, as amended, otherwise known as the Labor Code of the
Philippines", approved March 14, 2013.
6. Repealed by Section 16, Batas Pambansa Bilang 130, August 21, 1998. But revived by
Republic Act No. 10396.
