Summary Report on
“Engineer’s Day Celebration”
on 15thSeptember, 2017

Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable; engineering is not merely analysis;
engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non - existent
engineering problems; engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological
change.

Engineers operate at the interface between science and society. To identify the greatworks done
by our hard working engineers each year 15thSeptember is celebrated as Engineers' Day marking
the birth day of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, recognizing his contributions in the field of
hydel energy in India.

On this occasion, Veerayatan Institute of Technology & Veerayatan Polytechnic jointly


organized various events to bring out the hard efforts of engineers and to bring their ideas from
mind to market which was co-ordinated by cultural coordinators Mr. Brijesh Raychanda & Mrs.
RaukiYadav.

Various technical and non-technical events were organized as mentioned below:

1. Technical Rangoli:Materials related to different engineering Branches/ Flower Petals/


Saw- dust/ Pulses/Rice without pasting were used.
2. Paper Presentation:In this event, students have presented their papers on different
Innovations in recent trends of Engineering.
3. Poster Presentation: In this event, students have presented their posters on empowering
young and future voters and given their views regarding voting in India.
4. Group Discussion:In this session, Students opened about contribution of engineers in
technology and spoke about how environment and engineering should be balanced.
5. Treasure hunt
6. Drawing Competition: In this event, Students had presented importance of safety in
engineering.
7. NFS & CS
8. Technical Quiz

More than 500 students showed their participation in the event and this initiative was highly
appreciated by all the staff members and students.
