1. Description

1.1 User Instruction

NOTE
You should maintain the condition of product’s transport and storage upon
repair and service.

Following matters should be indicated on the box for export or storage.


And be sure to observe following matters.

2. Safety

2.1 Safety Indication


This manual shows following list for safe and right using of the product and preventing users
injury or loss.
(1) Read with well understanding of indication and meaning.
(2) Keep it after reading in place where users can always view.
(3) Make sure to observe the safety contents.

2.1.1 Warning

2.2 Right using of Equipment

2.2.1 General
User should check if the equipment is normally operated or in satisfactory
condition before use.
This product is available only in dental field, not allowed for other use than
dental field.
.
“Right using” includes instruction for use, inspection and all of what service is
executed.
Product of Shinhung Co., Ltd. is manufactured appropriately for the standard of
domestic and international.

1) Responsibility of the Function, Credibility and Stability of products


provided by Shinhung Co., Ltd.:
- Installation, adjustment, exchange, repair and maintenance of the product
are executed by technicians trained by Shinhung Co., Ltd. or staffs of official
distribution company acknowledged by Shinhung Co., Ltd.
- Management and installation of the product is operated according to using
instruction.
- We maintain the condition of using like installation environment mentioned
in this manual.
- Shinhung Co., Ltd. is not responsible for the damage, accident and
breakdown by natural disaster like fire, earthquake, flood, stroke of lighting.

2) User should observe following matters:


- Protect yourself, 3rd party from danger.
- Prevent contamination of the product.
-Be familiarized with the exact equipment operation and follow using
instruction.

The authority for repair, service of Shinhung’s product is limited to the


technicians of Shinhung Co., Ltd. and of official sales office trained by special
education.

When not using the product for a long time, you should offer service and
clean according to instruction.

Parts of the product should be authentic one approved by Shinhung Co., Ltd.

Portable and mobile high frequency communication equipment can affect on
medical apparatus.

Shinhung Co., Ltd. doesn’t guarantee transformer or wiring not accord with
EMC requirements of EN60601-1.

Waste materials from the product should be destroyed or recycled to prevent
environmental contamination. Refer to regulation of concerned country for
details.

2.3 Safety Instruction

2.3.1 General

NOTE
Safety and credibility of the system is guaranteed when matched with the
described procedure.
Using Shinhung’s product in explosion area is prohibited.

WARNING
Use this product only in dentistry.

WARNING
Damaged parts can cause additional damage or injury.
▶ When parts are damaged during operation, stop operation and remove
the danger or notify it to service technician.
▶ Check the condition of insulation of electrical parts.

CAUTION
This product satisfies electromagnetic field applying condition
This product can be affected by mobile phone due to complicated interaction
with mobile phone
▶ Restrain from using of mobile phone in hospital, clinic room or laboratory.
▶ Turn off computer memory device, portable hearing aid during treatment.
▶ Be sure to turn off main power

CAUTION
Transplant device like cardiac pacemaker inside body can be affected by
electromagnetic field.
▶ Check with patient before treatment.
▶ Don’t use SCALER to the patient who attached cardiac pacemaker.

2.3.2 Feature of Product

CAUTION
Patient and surgeon can be injured by operation of treatment plate
▶ Both of them should take caution when treatment plate is being operated.
▶ Avoid of standing on or jumping from treatment plate.
▶ Don’t place finger, body and things on or around operating part of main
body.
▶ Don’t allow more than 2 patients seat on the chair.

CAUTION
Overload on moving arm can cause risk or injury to patient or user.
▶ Don’t add overload on table arm and light arm.
▶ Don’t add weight over 30N(3kgf) on dentist table.

WARNING
When reaching hand to table or instrument, injury or infection can happen
as hand or sleeve get caught by instrument housed on holder.
▶ Take special caution to instrument housed on holder when reaching hand
to the table or instrument.

CAUTION
Inappropriate connecting IT device to medical equipment can cause electric
shock.
▶ Follow the code of EN60601-1-1 when connection IT device to medical
equipment

CAUTION
Don’t attach sticker or adhesive tape to instrument tube.
▶ Instrument tube can be torn down.

CAUTION
▶ Discharge water inside medical pipe for 2 minutes before starting
treatment(Execute when instrument is all separated)
▶ Clean or discharge water and air pipe before & after using the equipment
on weekends or holidays
▶ Take thorough sterilization.
▶ Supply water to spittoon several times.

CAUTION
Bedsore happening
▶ Take caution for bedsore happening upon long hours of treatment.

CAUTION
Be sure to exchange tip or bar of all instruments only in stopped condition
▶ Exchanging in operating condition can cause unexpected accident or
danger.
▶ Using of unapproved product can cause unexpected accident or danger.
▶ Put each instrument into holder slowly and securely.

CAUTION
Don’t add severe shock, load on water supply device.
Also don’t do unreasonable operation or disassembly.

WARNING
▶ Be careful not to touch inside or around light head during or after use of
light.
▶ Don’t view directly or directly light on eyes of patient with the light-on
condition.
▶ When dismantling for replacement, sterilization and repair of the lamp, be
sure to turn off main power and fully cool off.

3. Installation
NOTE
Our company or person in charge should follow description of installation of
this product.

NOTE
You should fix this product on the floor according to description of installation.
▶ Unfixed or inadequately fixed product can cause accident or breakdown.
▶ Connecting this product to power supply outlet with earth connection is a
must.

Use only the voltage[V], frequency[Hz], allowable current[A] (or power


consumption) of regulated power supply.
▶ Must have exclusive-use power circuit for each machine and not join, divide
with power supply of other machine.
▶ It can cause accident or breakdown due to overheat, short.

Don’t install where water spatters onto the product or in wet or humid place.
▶ It can cause accident or breakdown due to overheat, short.

Don’t install where chemicals are stored or gas is generated.


▶ It can cause accident or breakdown due to electric shock or short.

Place in where wire for power code, earth and foot controller is not damaged,
and avoid doors or passage.
▶ It can cause accident or breakdown due to electric shock or short.

CAUTION
Don’t install in slope area or unstable area where vibration, shock happens.
▶ It can cause malfunction or breakdown.

CAUTION
Don’t use where the equipment can be affected by air which contains air
pressure, temperature, humid, ventilation, sunlight, dust and salt.
▶ It can cause malfunction or breakdown.

4. Connection of Instrument

CAUTION
Connect all tubes of instrument and 2-WAY syringe before using.
▶ Imperfect connection can cause leakage of water or air.
And imperfect insertion of connection part, turning or bending by fore can
cause damage.

CAUTION
Put instrument onto holder of table when not using.
▶ Unexpected accident and breakdown can happen by operation of vacuum
device or instrument.

5. Installation of Filters

CAUTION
Should install all filters before using the apparatus.
▶ Inappropriate installation of filter or cover can make apparatus not operated
well or cause damage, water or air piping can be clogged.

NOTE
The filters below are attached in this product.
▶ Filters for water, air, drainage, spittoon, suction, spittoon valve filter(option),
amalgam collector(option), oil container filter

6. Operation of Equipment

Don’t place things or put finger or foot on the part or range of main body
operation like below seat or backrest connection
▶ It can cause injury, damage or breakdown of equipment when get caught
during operation.

Don’t add excessive weight on table arm, light arm, or place heavy things or
lean, sit on the end of seat, backrest, headrest or on table, sub-tray, mouse-
tray.
▶ It can cause injury or breakdown of equipment by equipment’s falling or
damage.

CAUTION
Observe following matters and check safety during operation of equipment.
▶ Otherwise, it can cause malfunction or breakdown

CAUTION
Don’t install equipment in unstable place with slope, vibration and shock.
▶ Don’t let others, except qualified person, operate the equipment.
▶ Keep on eyes on patient.
▶ Don’t take gesture, pose which impose danger on patient.
▶ Don’t place fingers, body, things on or around of main body’s operation.
▶ Don’t let more than 2 persons sit on seat(ex, sitting on with baby).
▶ Don’t allow person unrelated to treatment(child) be around the equipment.
▶ Avoid other dangerous behavior.
It can cause accident, damage, breakdown.

CAUTION
Operate emergency operation when dangerous during operation of seat of the
equipment.
▶ Press one of chair operational keys on table control panel in dentist table.
▶ Press one of chair operational keys on table control panel in assistant table
▶ Press pedal of foot controller.
▶ Operate one of chair’s safety device(backrest cover, seat cover, link cover).

8. Functional Description

8.1 Turning on Power


8.1.1 Connecting to main plug
▶ Insert power of equipment to plug.
▶ Check equipment’s power.

8.1.2 Main Switch

CAUTION
OFF main switch after treatment or when not using equipment.
▶ Otherwise, it can cause accident or breakdown by unexpected
circumstances.
▶ Also close water & air blocking valve in junction box.

▶ Turn on main switch.


Then, main switch is lit on in green color and LCD screen in dentist table
panel is on with “SHINHUNG” indication.

CAUTION
Must Off main switch when using electrical scalpel around equipment.
▶ Otherwise, malfunction can happen due to electromagnetic wave from
electrical scalpel, the reason of accident and breakdown.
▶ Don’t connect other equipment not grounded to plug. Otherwise,
malfunction can happen due to electromagnetic wave.

8.2 Junction Box

CAUTION
Don’t place things or stand on the case of junction box.
It can cause injury or damage of equipment.

8.2.1 Function of Junction box

▶ It connects water and air inside product, and you can connect computer and
related devices as pressure gauge, main valve, USB, HDMI terminal is attached on
the side of case.

8.2.2 Main Valve(water and air)

▶ This opens & closes air and water supplied into equipment.
Don’t operate this by force.
▶ After closing main valve, OFF main switch after injecting out air and water
remaining inside pipe with 3-way syringe at spittoon.
But, when using this in product to which piping and instrument’s sanitary
rinsing system is attached, you should open main valve.

CAUTION
When not using equipment, you should completely close off main valve to
prevent leakage.

8.3 Chair

CAUTION
Be careful for injury when chair is automatically operated.
▶ Operating of chair is only allowed to designated user.

NOTE
As temperature sensor is attached on the motor of chair and backrest,
unreasonable continuous use cause stopping of operation. Avoid operating for
400 seconds after 25 seconds of continuous operation.

CAUTION
Overload on chair can affect on chair, unit and peripheral devices and cause
injury of patient and users.
▶ Don’t exceed 135kgf of maximum allowable weight, as the chair can be
collapsed.
▶ Don’t stand, lean or sit on headrest, backrest, foot rest and armrest
attached on chair.
▶ Always observe condition of patient and user’s location when operating
chair.

8.3.1 How to use Operational Armrest(option)

▶ This is for operational armrest(option) on the right.



You can revolve armrest 120° downward for patient not to be inconvenient
when going up and down chair.

CAUTION
Overload on armrest can affect on chair, unit and peripheral devices and
cause injury of patient and users.
▶ Don’t sit on armrest.
▶ Operation of armrest is forward/backward. Don’t push armrest inside or pull
outside by force.
▶ Always keep watching for patient not to be fallen when going up and down
chair.

1) Turn armrest forward with pressing the button attached on armrest.

2) Push forward until reaching to stopping device.


3) When returning to original position, pull the button upward as it is without
pressing until “click” sounds.

8.3.2 How to Operate Headrest

▶ Change height and angle of headrest according to patient’s physical


condition and treatment location.

CAUTION
Adding on excessive load when operating headrest can affect on chair, unit and
peripheral device and cause injury to patient and user.
▶ Don’t sit on headrest.
▶ Adjust headrest with raising up the head of patient a little.
▶ Always keep watching the condition of patient when operating headrest.

1) Adjusting of Height
▶ Adjustment amount of headrest’s height is 150mm.
▶ Lift up with holding bottom side of headrest with both hands.
▶ When lowering, push headrest.

2) Adjusting of Angle
▶ Adjustment angle of headrest’s is 40°.
▶ Lift up or lower headrest to the position you want with pressing upper
part of the button at the back of headrest.

8.3.3 Safety Switch

NOTE
Safety switch is installed that can automatically avoid or urgently stop against
accident which can happen when operating chair and backrest.

CAUTION
Caution for safety switch
▶ Always watch for things, pets, patients, operator not to be around safety
switch.
▶ Don’t randomly adjust or change safety switch.
▶ Ask service when not operated due to any reasons like damage and
deformation.

1) Link Safety Switch


▶ When link cover is pressed upward by foot, knees and obstacles of
operator, or when operator arbitrarily pushes link cover upward in
emergency situation, movement of chair is stopped with safety switch
operating.
▶ Chair automatically operates avoiding for safety.

2) Backrest Safety Switch


▶ When backrest is pressed upward by operator’s knee or obstacles during
descent of chair or backrest, it stops moving with safety switch operation.

▶ When chair is pressed upward by operator’s knee or obstacles during
descent of chair or backrest, it stops moving with safety switch operation.

8.3.4 Chair Program Reset (HOMING)

▶ When chair never operates even operated at foot controller, dentist and
assistant control panel, reset chair driving program as follows.

1) Turn off and on again main switch.


BACKREST
2) Open service door of on the right of unit.
SEAT
3) Press SEAT key once.
4) When SEAT completely stops, press backrest key.
5) Assemble service door to original position.
6) Now equipment operates normally.

8.4 Dentist Table

NOTE
Designating of holder and arrange of instrument can be changed upon
necessary, and different as in the picture.

CAUTION
Don’t add more than 30N(3kgf) load on the table.
Avoid operating by force and strong shock.
▶ Table can be collapsed due to overload, and injury can happen due to
breakdown or damage.

NOTE
Also don’t make whole load should not be over 30N(3㎏f) when using with
connection of sub-tray and mouse-tray to table.

NOTE
Periodically sterilize silicon pad in dentist table with 134℃ in AUTOCUBE.

8.4.1 How to use Sub-tray(Option)

▶ Use sub-tray after pushing the corner of it into tray home and place it on
necessary position.
▶ To turn the tray loosen butterfly nut on the bottom of holder tray and revolve
the holder tray on necessary position and tighten the butterfly nut.

NOTE
Use the table after drawing and revolving holder tray to the side of the table
after pulling out sub-tray.

8.4.2 How to Use Mouse tray (Option)

▶ Mouse tray can be attached to left/right site of dentist table. Use the mouse
for computer by connecting it onto USB terminal at the right back of dentist
table.

CAUTION
Be careful as you can be injured due to breakdown or destruction or the table
can be loosened below, if you push mouse tray by force.

8.4.3 How to Change angle of dentist table holder

1) Loosen holder angle adjustment screw inside left/right handle by coin until
indication line is shown.

2) Spread table handle about 3mm left/right to each one side.
3) Turn holder to the angle you want. (Range: 30˚ ~ 80˚)
4) Push both handle of table inside.
5) Completely tighten adjustment screw inside left/right handle by coin.

CAUTION
Lightly spread the handle with another hand holding holder as if you spread
the handle too hard, the equipment can be damaged.
Pull out instrument in advance so that it cannot be deviated.

8.4.4 Table Arm

CAUTION
Softly adjust the height of table.
▶ Be careful as operating it by force can cause much swaying of equipment
leading to breakdown, damage and injury.

▶ Operation arm of table can be adjusted with height of high/low.


Use by adjusting the handle according to weight of things on table.

▶ To fix the height of table completely tighten adjustment handle clockwise


direction.

CAUTION
Make sure to adjust the handle with holding it, as loosening the adjustment
handle in low position of table, the table can be bounce up.

NOTE
For the product attached with air break(option), the position of table is fixed if
you take off hand from the button after moving the height of table with
pushing the button at the back of right handle of table.

But, don’t add load over 5kg on table.

8.5 Assistant Table

and different from picture upon necessary.

CAUTION
Don’t place things on assistant table.
Leaning on table, operating with excessive force can damage the equipment.

CAUTION
Always put instrument other than 3-WAY syringe into right position.
Otherwise, the suction pump keeps operating.

8.6 Control Panel

8.6.1 Composition

NOTE
It is composed with static-touch type.
The equipment operates if you lightly touch your finger on the key.
Also the key operates with using up to two pairs of glove storage.
▶ The key doesn’t operate with other instrument except hands.

CAUTION
Spilling liquid on control panel can cause breakdown.
Also operating control panel with hard things can cause breaking of panel and
out of order.

NOTE
On manual the chair moves only when contacting the key, and on auto, it
automatically moves to remembered position when taking off hands after
connecting key.
▶ Be careful as pressing auto key for over 2 seconds, the setup value of key is
changed.

▶ How to set/change auto key’s treatment position


1) Moves to chair to desired position with auto key or foot controller.
2) Press desired auto key(Rinsing, reset, set1, set2) for about 3 seconds.
3) Upon alarm sound, setting is completed.
But, setup and change is only possible on chair control part in dentist table.

CAUTION
When spittoon is deviated from right position, chair doesn’t operate.
After using spittoon, always return it to original position.

CAUTION
Always observe condition of patient and user’s position upon chair operation.

▶ Emergency stop upon chair’s auto operation


For emergency stop of chair during auto key operation, operate with one of
following keys.
Press one of keys among dentist or assistant control panel’s chair control
keys.
1) Press pedal of foot controller.

8.6.3 Selection of Function and menu

CAUTION
When converting revolving direction of micro motor, be sure to do it when
revolving is stopped.
▶ Otherwise, serious accident and injury can happen.

Don’t use SCALER as it can affect on the patient who wears pacemaker.
▶ When replacing or adjusting during operation, serious accident and injury
can happen.

CAUTION
Use only the product for hand piece approved by the authorities concerned.
Use only the product of Mid West Type 4-Hole, Borden 2-Hole, 3-Hole for the
size of connecting for air hand piece coupling joint and tubing.
▶ When using unapproved product, accident or breakdown can happen.

CAUTION
Refer to each product’s manual for connection and using of each instrument
including hand piece to avoid accident or breakdown due to wrong
installation.

8.6.4 Timer

▶ Timer is digital decrement timer and can be set maximum 59minutes and 59
seconds.
▶ How to Set the Timer
1) Select “min” or “sec”.
2) Press “+” or “―“ key to set desired time.
This time “+” increases with 10units, and
“―” decreases with 1unit.
When setup is completed, press “START/STOP”.
Now the timer starts working.
3) When setup is completed, time indication converts to initial status(00:00)
with alarm sound.
▶ Timer alarm always sounds even setup condition is changed.

When cancelling during timer setup, press “START/STOP” key twice to convert
to initial status.
To stop during timer operation, press “START/STOP” key once to convert to
initial status.

1) Pressing “1” and “ “ keys at the same time, “Option mode 1” is

Pressing ascend key increases holder number and descend key decreases.

8.8 Spittoon and Water Supply System

CAUTION
When spittoon revolves, stuck in between or hitting it can cause accident. Also
excessive pushing or pressing it can cause injury due to destruction of
equipment

NOTE
When spittoon deviates from right position, chair and backrest don’t operate to
prevent accident(safety device works).
▶ Return it to right position after using spittoon.

NOTE
Old or disabled patients can conveniently use spittoon by revolving it.

8.8.2 Spittoon Rinsing

▶ When putting the cup in its right position after using it,
water is automatically supplied from rinsing tube to rinse
spittoon.
▶ To additionally rinse spittoon, press “Spittoon Rinse Key”
on control panel of assistant side to supply water while
pressing.

CAUTION
Don’t input medicine of strong color into spittoon for a long time.
If you did, cleanly wash it out with water for no color to remain and wipe off
with sponge.

▶ Adjust amount water supply to press chair operation key “1” and “S” in
dentist panel at the same time after selecting “Option mode 2” to reset
desired time of “(SPITTOON RINSING TIME)” (Refer to page 34 for the

8.8.3 Cup Filling

CAUTION
Use paper cup, metal cup or opaque plastic cup.
▶ Sensor doesn’t work on transparent glass or plastic cup.

CAUTION
Filling water without cup or overflowing out of cup cause water passes through
inside equipment, leading to malfunction or injury due to electric shock.

▶ When cup is placed on right position, sensor automatically causes certain


amount of water to be supplied to the cup.
▶ Adjust water supply amount by pressing “1” and “S” in chair operation of
dentist panel at the same time and selecting “Option mode 2” and resetting
“AUTO CUP TIME”.
▶ Also manually supply water by pressing “Cup Filling Key” in control panel.
Water supply is done only during pressing the key.

NOTE
Filter is built in cup filler to remove foreign material of water,
To remove foreign material in filter pull out the end of cup filler with hand or
tool and pass water to reverse direction of cup filler filter.

8.8.4 WARMER

WARNING
Operating warmer without water can cause damage or fire due to overheat of
heater.
Make sure to turn “OFF” warmer switch when not using it like in the summer.

▶ By operating warmer you can use about 35℃ of water used in cup and
instrument.
You can’t adjust temperature of water.
Contact our company or sale office when needed adjustment of water
temperature.

By turning On warmer switch you can operate heater of warmer as green LED
lamp inside of unit’s front door is lit.

When liquid permeates inside foot controller, electric short circuit can happen.

8.10 조명등

WARNING
▶ Don’t add strong shock or vibration to light(head, arm).
Also don’t make it wet. If light is wet, wipe it out with dry towel after turning
off main switch.
In this time, don’t use it again until it is completely dried up.
Otherwise, it can cause destruction of equipment or injury.
▶ Be careful not to touch light or around it during, before and after using
light.
Otherwise, it can cause burn by high temperature, accident or damage of
lamp.
▶ Don’t directly view light or shine directly into eye with light is lit. It can
affect on sight.
▶ When replacing, sterilizing and repairing the light, be sure to do it after
turning off main switch and the light is fully cooled off. Otherwise, you can get
burns by high temperature.

8.10.3 Focus Adjustment

CAUTION
Range of light’s adjustment cap is limited.
When feeling stiffness on revolving, don’t revolve it anymore and adjust
distance. Otherwise, parts can be damaged or dismantled.

▶ Light is adjusted with 700mm point from mouth of patient.


In 600mm~1,000mm distance, the focus can be fast and easily adjusted by
revolving light’s adjustment cap left/right.

CAUTION

8.10.4 Light Intensity Adjustment

▶ When briefly pressing and taking off the light key in dentist control panel,
light is On and “Auto 0 or 1, 2, 3” is displayed below indication in LCD
window. Here, 1, 2, 3 means intensity of light.

▶ When pressing and taking off long in On condition, intensity of light ascends
by 1 stage along with alarm and converted as AUTO 1 ⇒ AUTO 2 ⇒ AUTO
3 ⇒ AUTO 1.
▶ By “Filament Direction Control Knob” you can adjust direction of filament of
halogen lamp.
Lamp is revolving if you revolve the knob along guide home after loosening it
control knob a little with hand.
Be sure to completely connect the knob after adjusting direction of lamp.

8.10.5 Light Head Adjustment


Each connection of light head including light arm can
be three-dimensionally revolved for user to easily
adjust light direction. Softly operate when adjusting
position and direction with holding left/right handle.

CAUTION
Take caution as unreasonable operation of light’s direction can cause injury due
to destruction of parts.

▶ When horizontal revolving of light


Head is stiff or turns by itself, tighten or
loosen hanger fixing screw to adjust.

▶ To adjust handle assembly angle, loosen handle fixing screw with a coin and

8.10.6 Lamp Replacement Head adjustment

▶ Replace halogen lamp with authentic exclusive-use lamp.

NOTE
Standard of halogen lamp: AC 12V, 50W. socket type(E11)

NOTE
Oiliness on finger can cause life of lamp to be reduced due to influence on
lamp’s function. Replace lamp with holding it with hand in condition that
packing vinyl is covered.
When by accident touched the lamp, lightly wipe it off with soft cotton wetted
with isopropyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol.

Touch the lamp after it is fully cooled off as you can get burns as each parts
except the handle can be hot during use of light.
▶ Turn on light with always light cover is assembled to prevent accident.

Replace a new lamp by inserting it into socket and turn filament direction

8.10.7 Sanitation and Rinsing

CAUTION
Sterilize and rinse light after full cool off as each part gets hot after using the
lamp.

CAUTION
Take special caution for no scratch to happen on light cover or reflection plate
upon rinsing or handling.

▶ Sterilize(134˚C) handle cover at Auto Clave after rinsing with neutral


detergent.
Dismantle it by holding one hand with another hand pulling handle cover
below.

▶ Refer to “10 Maintenance” for other details.

8.11 Distilled water Supply System (Option)

▶ With distilled water supply system you can both water supply and both distilled
water for equipment.

▶ How to Use Distilled water


Remove pressure in distilled water container by converting “On/Off valve”
inside unit door as in the picture

CAUTION
Be sure to separate distilled water container after converting “On/Off valve” as
Off. Otherwise, the content can be spouted.

1) Take out distilled water container attached at the back of unit by turning
it to arrow direction.

after filling distilled water and putting the tube in
the container.

Take caution so that parts like the tube contacted directly with distilled water

2) Convert “ON/OFF valve” as ON and


“water(CITY)/distilled water(BOTTLE)

Now distilled water is supplied to instrument.

Be sure to turn “On/Off valve” as “Off” after work or holidays when not using
distilled water for a long time.

▶ Otherwise, parts can be damaged due to increased pressure on distilled
water container.

NOTE
In distilled water container automatic pressure discharge device(operated upon
over 0.2Mpa air pressure) to prevent accident due to overpressure.
When water pressure rapidly falls as air spouting sound occurs, check if
depressurizer indicates 0.15Mpa by opening service door in right side of unit,
and slowly turn pressure adjustment handle right and left and set it as
0.15Mpa.

NOTE
When using water instead distilled water, convert “ON/OFF valve” as OFF, and
turn “Water(CITY)/distilled water(BOTTLE) conversion valve” as “Water도
(CITY)”.

8.12 Water pipe Rinsing & Sanitation System

NOTE
This system is to prevent contamination of water, before starting treatment of the
day, by rinsing water pipe inside equipment or curbing proliferation of remaining
bacteria, when not using equipment on weekends or holidays.

NOTE
This system is proceeded in order of SANITATION ⇒ WASHING, and peroxide is
automatically to be injected into water pipe of each instrument and requires
about 4~5minutes.
NOTE
If you press “Sanitation switch” during system proceeding, the system stops its
operation.
To start again, press “Sanitation switch” and operate according to following
operational order.
▶ When you start again after stopping during proceeding, be sure to check if
sanitation solution is insufficient.

NOTE
To complete the system, minimum over 500ml of sanitation solution is required.
If it’s insufficient, start the system after supplementing it up.
▶ You should mix solution’s oxygenated water density for it to be over
2,000ppm.

▶ Order of System Operation


1) “OFF” water-blocking valve of junction box,
and “ON” air-blocking valve. And “OFF” warmer
switch by opening service door on the left of unit.

CAUTION
If distilled water container is attached on equipment, “OFF” Air valve in front of
unit and convert WATER valve as “BOTTLE”.

3) Preparation of Sanitation solution
① Separate the cap from separated sanitation solution
container.
② Put 3% of 45ml oxygenated water into sanitation
solution container.
④ Put 485ml of distilled water into sanitation (density, 2,500ppm)
⑤ Insert the cap that hangs tube on it and completely connect.
⑥ Assemble sanitation solution container to unit.

4) Connect silicon tube to cup filler, and place the other


side on spittoon.

Check again before operating as tubing can be escaped upon operation of
sanitation rinsing system, if you don’t securely insert tubing into spittoon

6) When taking out all of instrument from table holder, LCD screen
converts with sound of “SANITATION MODE”.

10) You should discharge all of oxygenated water filled in water pipe before
starting treatment after holidays.

14) Now you can normally use instrument.

CAUTION
Correctly connect each parts of instrument and tubing. Wrong connection can
cause air & water leakage.

CAUTION
Oxygenated water can cause irritation to eyes or skin.
So be careful for your eyes, skin and clothes not to be touched with it.
▶ If you touch it, you should completely wash it out after treatment.

8.13 Amalgam Separator (Option)

▶ As a system to separate and discharge amalgam, there’s a control panel as in the


picture if you open “Unit door” at the front bottom of product.
You can check replacing time of amalgam collector according to panel’s LED color
and happening of melody sound.

Green LED(4) is to be lit.

▶ Condition of amalgam collector’s 95% deposition:


Yellow LED(1) is to be lit.
Green LED(4) is to be lit.
Melody(2) sounds.

▶ The melody which sounds when deposits’ level is 95% is stopped by pressing
panel key(0). This time the green LED(4) which indicates normal standby mode

NOTE
It’s desirable to replace amalgam collector when deposits reach 95%.

▶ Condition of amalgam collector’s 100% deposition:

▶ How to Replace Amalgam Collector

1) OFF main switch of chair, and open the door
by holding hook of trap door,

CAUTION
Replace amalgam collector with wearing non-ventilation protective gloves to
prevent electric shock.
When keeping it, make sure other people can’t access to it.
▶ When amalgam collector is not rightly assembled
Orange LED(5) is flickering
Melody(2) sounds.

Turn off melody by pressing the key(0).


Turn off power and assemble it again by loosening amalgam collector.

When power is On, green LED(4), normal standby mode, is lit.
If abnormality signal happens when the collector is in right position, contact
our company or product purchase office.

Turn off melody by pressing the key(0).


Operate equipment again by pressing the key(0) for more than 2 seconds.
Green LED(4) is lit, which indicates normal standby mode.

8.14 Spittoon Valve (Option)

▶ It’s a device needed to appropriately inhale and transport foreign material to


amalgam separator, which flow in through spittoon, when no amalgam
separator or steam separator is in the product, and centralized amalgam
separator is installed in the product.
As a device to automatically detect and discharge foreign material drained
through spittoon, and block so that noise happening when using suction
should not come up, it requires periodical cleaning of filter as follows.

CAUTION
When replacing spittoon valve, wear protective globe to prevent infection.

▶ Filter Cleaning (Monthly)


Open service door, and pull out the filter by turning it
in arrow direction as in the picture, and clean it or
replace it with a new filter.

As a coarse filter, this product prevents a big piece of tooth from entering into
breathing apparatus.

▶ Cleaning of Spittoon valve and pipe line (Weekly)


There’s a switch panel as in the picture inside unit.
1) Press spittoon manual water supply switch in table.
2) Press switch(A) until cleaning is finished.
3) Put certain amount of detergent(ex: Orotol Plus)

CAUTION
Do not use foamy or pungent detergent.

NOTE
Prepare detergent within at least 1 hour before using.

9. Fuse Exchange

WARNING
Always OFF main switch before exchanging fuse.
▶ Otherwise, electric shock or unexpected accident, breakdown or injury can
happen.
▶ Breaking of FUSE means that there’s a electrical problem, which you should
contact our company or product purchased office as soon as possible.
▶ Continued use with this status can cause breakdown or accident due to
leakage current or similar problem.

CAUTION
Always replace fuse with the same type and capacity of fuse.
▶ Otherwise, overheat or fire can happen which cause damage of
equipment.

9.1 Main and Transfuse
Fuse is attached on the frame inside service door on the
left of unit.
Replace fuse according to the order as follows.
The fuse should be Φ5㎜ diameter, and 30㎜ length.

Replace fuse according to following order.
The fuse should be Φ5㎜ diameter, and 20㎜ length.

Fuse is connected to PCB inside dentist table.


Replace fuse according to following order.
The fuse should be Φ5㎜ diameter, and 20㎜ length. Fuse case

2) Arm dent SCALER ― Diameter: Φ5㎜, Length: 20㎜, Capacity: 1.0A / 250V

10. Maintenance

WARNING
Always OFF main switch when cleaning or repairing.
And close main blocking valve of water and air when needed.
▶ Otherwise, it can cause electric shock or unexpected accident which lead
to injury or breakdown.
▶ Always wear glove storage when cleaning or repairing to prevent infection.
▶ You must clean and sterilize instrument used inside mouth. Otherwise, the
patient and operator can be infected.
▶ When using AUTOCLAVE or similar sterilizer, follow instruction of
instrument manual. Otherwise, instrument or sterilizer can be damaged.

CAUTION
When contacting inside unit, don’t touch it as warmer or other parts are hot.
▶ You can get burns or other injury. Always OFF main switch when opening
service door.

10.1 Frequently Operate Daily or Frequently upon necessary

10.1.1 AUTOCLAVE Sterilization

CAUTION
Equipment to be sterilized should be off from wall of inside sterilizer with
basket, plate or pouch of sterilizer.
When using sterilizer in high dry temperature, take out instrument right away
if sterilized.
▶ Otherwise, equipment can be damaged due to contact with inside wall of
sterilizer or high temperature.

▶ Object of sterilization: Air turbine H.P, micro motor parts, micro motor cover,
SCALER tip and H.P, light handle cover, silicon pad of dentist table, tip and
body of vacuum syringe, nozzle and body of 3-WAY syringe, nozzle and body
of saliva ejector.
※ Refer to manual of each equipment for the difference of the model used.
▶ Sterilization temperature: Maximum 135˚C
10.1.2 Alcohol Sterilization

CAUTION
Be sure to use rubbing alcohol.
▶ Other kinds of alcohol or solvent cause discoloration or damage of
material.

Don’t let alcohol smear inside equipment. Take special care for connection, axis
and switch part. Don’t use excessive amount of alcohol.
▶ Otherwise, it can cause electrical short, malfunction, fatigue destruction and
damage of material.

▶ Object of sterilization: Air turbine H.P, micro motor parts, SCALER tip and H.P.
※ Refer to manual of each equipment for the difference of the model used.

▶ Sterilizing of Reflection plate of Light

CAUTION
Each part is hot after using the light, so execute sterilization, cleaning after
the light is fully cooled off.

10.1.3 Tube and Pipe of Vacuum syringe and Saliva ejector

Execute rinsing of vacuum syringe and saliva ejector tube and pipe every time

when you finish treatment of each patient.

1) ON main switch.
2) Suck into about 1~2 cups of water from vacuum syringe and saliva ejector
holder.
3) Put instrument into right position of holder.

10.1.4 Suction Filter

CAUTION
Execute rinsing of suction filter at least more than once a day.

CAUTION
Be careful for rubber ring not to be fallen off or cut when assembling filter
after cleaning and make the cap fully stuck.
▶ Incomplete assembly can cause deterioration of vacuum syringe and saliva
ejector’s breathing function, and pipe can be clogged.
▶ It’s easy to put in and take out filter if you apply a little of Vaseline in
rubber ring and ring insert part.

CAUTION

10.1.5 Spittoon and Spittoon trap

CAUTION
Execute rinsing of spittoon trap at least once a day.
Occasionally execute rinsing of spittoon when needed.

▶ When washing in assembled condition can cause injury or breakdown as
water runs inside unit, leading electric short or unexpected accident.

CAUTION
Be careful as if packing is torn down or escaped when assembling spittoon,
leakage can happen.

CAUTION
Don’t input strong colored medicine to spittoon for a long time.
When strong colored medicine is inputted, right away drain it and wash out for
no color to remain and wipe out with sponge.

Don’t wipe out with abrasive, steel loofah or other similar hard things.
▶ Surface of spittoon can be scratched or discoloration can happen.

▶ Dismantling of Spittoon rinsing tube


Rinsing tube
When dismantling rinsing tube to clean, OFF main switch and
take it out right above. And when installing, put the bump Rinsing tube receipt

at the bottom into home.

CAUTION
Be careful for rubber ring not to be cut or fallen off when dismantling the
rinsing tube.

10.1.6 Cleaning of Vacuum system

CAUTION
Execute vacuum system cleaning at least once a day or occasionally.

CAUTION
Use the cleansing product recommended by our company and follow
instruction of the manual.
▶ Using inappropriate cleansing product can cause leakage or deterioration of
breathing due to damage on tube and related parts.

10.1.7 Washing of Water pipe

CAUTION
Execute washing of water pipe at least once before treatment, especially when
equipment is not used over holidays.
▶ You must drain water which remains inside warmer tank or piping.

▶ Auto Cup Filler


1) Fill water by placing the cup under cup filler.
2) Empty the water in the cup and fill it up again. Repeat this 8 times.
3) When manually filling water in the cup, press “Cup filling key” in the panel
for 1 minute.

▶ 3-WAY Syringe
1) Discharge water by force by pressing water lever for at least 1 minute over
spittoon with lifting dentist table and assistant syringe at the same time.

▶ Air turbine H.P


1) Take out H.P from holder.
If filling is unable from hand piece, convert H.P conversion key on the panel
as “ON”
2) Separate tubing from body of H.P.
3) Face end of tube toward spittoon and press pedal of foot controller.
Keep water running for at least more than 1 minute.
4) Return it to original position by connecting tubing with body of H.P.

5) Wash the rest of air turbine H.P with the same method.

▶ Micro motor H.P


1) Take out H.P from holder.
If filling is unable from hand piece, convert H.P conversion key on the panel
as “ON”
2) Separate tubing from body of H.P.
3) Face end of tube toward spittoon and press pedal of foot controller.
Keep water running for at least more than 2 minutes.
4) Return it to original position by connecting tubing with body of H.P.
5) Wash the rest of air turbine H.P with the same method.

▶ SCALER

CAUTION
Always operate SCALER in condition that tip is installed.
▶ Otherwise, overload is added to circuit or other parts causing breakdown or
malfunction.

1) Take out H.P from holder.


If filling is unable from hand piece, convert H.P conversion key on the panel
as “ON”
2) Face end of tube toward spittoon and press pedal of foot controller.
Keep water running for at least more than 3 minutes.
3) Return SCALER to holder.
10.1.7 Rinsing other parts and surface

WARNING
Don’t leave water, chemicals, alcohol on the surface and inside of equipment.
They can be smeared inside.
If they are smeared inside, completely dry off equipment after first turning
“OFF” main switch.
▶ Otherwise, water smears inside, causing damage of equipment like electric
short, discoloration and breakdown.

Only use cleaner or neutral detergent recommended by our company


▶ Using other cleaner or chemicals like benzene, thinner except rubbing
alcohol can cause damage of parts due to discoloration or breakdown.

Don’t use floor cleaner or wax on floor of product and foot controller.
If floor cleaner or wax is smeared, wipe it out immediately.
▶ Otherwise, it can cause damage of parts due to discoloration or breakdown.

Don’t let water or cleaner directly spattered on main switch.


▶ It can cause breakdown.

CAUTION
If chemicals are spilled on holder of instrument or tray, immediately wipe them
out with gauze wetted with rubbing alcohol.
Be careful for alcohol not to be smeared inside equipment.
▶ If chemicals are not removed, it cause discoloration or deterioration of
parts.

▶ Surface of Seat, Backrest and Headrest

CAUTION
You should avoid contacting with
1) Clothes or bag made of Jean or dyed leather;
(Color can taken off or be discolored)
2) PVC, steel, plastic, wood, paint;
(Discoloration, parting can happen)
3) Printed material like newspaper or magazine, cloth
(Discoloration, specks can happen)
4) Chemicals, pigments, medicine, adhesive, tapes
(Deformation, spoil, discoloration, hardness, softening can happen)
5) Bleach
(Discoloration, deterioration can happen)
6) The heat source like iron, heater
(Damage, discoloration spoil, deterioration can happen)

CAUTION
Occasionally wash the surface of seat, backrest and headrest upon necessary.

1) Rinse with sponge or soft cloth by wetting it with water, neutral detergent
and rubbing alcohol.
2) Completely wipe out moist and detergent with dry cloth.

10.2 Once a Month

10.2.1 Drain Trap Filter

CAUTION
Rinse drain trap filter at least once a month.
▶ If foreign material is accumulated, drain of spittoon became not smooth
and bad odor can happen as filter gets clogged.

5) When cleaning is completed, rinse pipes by pouring about two cups of water

CAUTION
If you fill water in drain trap by running water to spittoon, unpleasant
odor from piping can be blocked.

10.2.2 Oil Drain Filter Case

CAUTION
Check at least once a month if oil is full in oil drain filter case at the
bottom of dentist table.

1) By turning oil drain filter case to counterclockwise direction,


2) Empty oil inside after separating oil drain filter case.

CAUTION
Discard oil-absorbed filter and oil according to the law as they are
flammable material.

3) Take out filter inside oil drain filter case.


4) Remove moist after rinsing oil drain filter case and filter with running
water and completely drying.
5) Connect to table after putting filter inside oil drain filter case.
6) Check if discharging of air is normally done by taking out air turbine H.P
of holder one by one.
If it’s abnormal, stop using and contact our company or product
purchased office.

NOTE
If rubber ring at the end of air turbine H.P connection is damaged, there’s
case that air is exhausted together with air.

10.3 Biannually

10.3.1 Water Filter

NOTE.
Clean water & air filter biannually.
But, execute cleaning upon necessary after checking if water pressure gauge in
junction box is below 0.17Mpa, and air is below 0.39Mpa, or quantity of water
or air is low during use of Hand Piece.
Contact our company or product purchased office for exchange of air filter.

1) OFF both of air and water blocking valve.


2) Eject all of water and air remaining inside equipment to spittoon with 3-WAY
syringe.
3) OFF main switch.
4) Separate case by loosening screws of junction box.
5) Take out filter inside after completely separating “Water filter cap” in following
picture.

6) Rinse filter with running water or remove foreign material by rubbing with
brush.
You can also easily remove foreign materials by facing strongly running water
from inside of filter to outside.
7) Assemble filter again in reverse order from dismantling.
Securely tighten filter cap so that no leakage shall happen when assembling.
Check if water pressure is over 0.18Mpa or water is leaked around filter cap
by opening water blocking valve before covering the case.
If pressure is insufficient, check if main valve of raw water pipe is completely
open, and if pressure is still insufficient, contact our company or product
purchased office.
