Course Title: Constitutional Law 1 (CONTI LAW 1)

Number of Units: 3 units (Thursdays, 6-9pm)

Course Description:

A general study of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, its salient and outstanding
features, as well as its significant parts, all taken in relation to the present developments
and issues involving the Executive Department and its exercise of political power, as
well as its ramifications on the two other branches of government.

Objective:

The ultimate aim of this course is to equip the students with the basic knowledge
of the principles of Constitutional Law, the landmark Supreme Court decisions applying
such principles, as well as the related developments taking place in this jurisdiction. The
course is also aimed at enabling law students to relate such principles to their everyday
lives in a manner that will broaden their perspective on law.
