EKG‐Plus II Quick Operation Guide
(For CardioTouch3000/Cardio7 in DHCP mode)
1. Overview of Networking
The computer running EKG‐Plus II and CardioTouch3000/Cardio7 are connected to the router with DHCP set as
follows:

Follow these instructions after installing Bionet EKG‐Plus II software and BMS Server.
2. Set DHCP for CardioTouch3000/Cardio7
Step A. Connect LAN cable to LAN port.

Step B. Entering Setup Screen: Select date on the screen by touching the screen or pushing knob on the key pad.

Step C. Entering Network Setup: Select "Network" menu on the setup screen by touching screen or pushing knob on the
key pad.

Step D. Set DHCP:
1. Click "Manually" right next to “Configure IP” by touching or pushing knob on the key pad in order to switch to
DHCP mode.
2. Click "OK" then click "Exit." The unit will turn off and on automatically.
3. Go back to the network setup screen and check whether “IP Address” and “Gateway” are assigned properly.

Note: In some cases, you may have to cycle power on your router before it will assign IP addresses to the ECG machines.

3.Connecting CardioTouch3000/Cardio7 with EKG‐Plus II software and DHCP.
**Instruction no.1 should be done before following this instruction.
Step A. Run “EKG Viewer” by double‐clicking the icon on the desktop and then click "Tools" on the menu and select
"Settings..."

Step B. Find Bionet ECG Devices in the Network
1. Check “DHCP” radio button
2. Click "Search" button
**If previously connected device to
“EKG viewer” lost its IP address (it will
show IP:0.0.0.0) because the device lost
network connection, select "NONE" the
same as picture on the left and then
repeat no. 1 and 2 of Step B, and do
Step C in order to reconnect the device.

Step C. Select ECG Machine
1. Click drop down list. It will show the list of the
ECG machines connected to the network.
2. Repeat Step B if a device that you want to
connect is not listed.
3. Select ECG machine.
a. Each device’s information in the list is
matched with the information of each
device's network setup.
b. ex)192.168.1.97:C7701fe9:Cardio7
IP: 192.168.1.97
Device ID: C7701FE9
Device Name: Cardio 7
4. Click "OK" to exit the setup screen.
Step D. Use “EKG Viewer” to control ECG machine
**Patient information should be entered in the unit, and it will be transferred to the EKG Viewer automatically.
**Click to monitor the signal then click to record patient ECG, if signal is clear and stable.

4. Using BMS server.
**Instruction no.1 should be done before following this instruction.
**BMS server should be running.
**This function gives ability to send recorded patient data to the specific directory of the server without using
EKG Viewer.
Step A. Enter Environment of the BMS server.
1. Move mouse over the BMS server icon
2. Click right mouse button
3. Select “Environment”
**Possible Case 1
1. Click "Show hidden icon" on the right lower side
of the computer screen (triangle in the above
picture).
2. Right mouse click on the BMS service icon (no. 1
red box in the right side picture).
3. Select "Environment" (no. 2 red box in the right
side picture).
**Possible Case 2
1. Move mouse over BMS on the right lower side of
the computer screen.
2. Select "Environment" (red box in the right side
picture).

Step B. Setup Environment
1. Select a directory where patient data will be saved
(Default is C:\ECGs).
2. Select Save File Type (JPEG, PDF, TEXT, DICOM)
3.Select Save option.
Step C. Check DB Server IP (Optional: Refer to the instruction no. 1 for more details about the device network setup)
**DB Server IP in each ECG device should match with IP of BMS server (computer).
**DB Server IP is obtained from BMS server automatically, if BMS server is running and the ECG is set in DHCP mode.
**If the ECGs couldn't obtain the DB Server IP, turn the unit off and on until it gets the IP.

Step D. Enter Patient Info.
[CardioTouch3000/Cardio 7 Patient Info]
1. Click "ID" on the screen by touch or
knob on the key pad.
2. Patient info box appears, then enter
patient information.
Step E. Recording and Transferring Patient ECG Data
[CardioTouch3000/Cardio 7]
*Just push "NET/ESC" button on the key pad. ECG will be measured and transferred automatically.

Step F. Check and View Saved Data
**Data is saved in the Work Dir. set by Environment of BMS server (default setup is C:\ECGs).
** Right mouse click on the BMS server icon and then select Data List.
**Double‐click on the list item that you want to see. EKG Viewer will open and display the data.

EKG Viewer will show the selected patient data.
