EMPHASIS IN ENGLISH
2019
REPORT.
Observation is an important part of learning how to teach. Much of what beginner teachers
need to be aware of can not be learned solely in the university class. My 20 hours of
GALINDO who is also teacher in the University of Cordoba in Spanish career. The classes
begin at 7:00 am, There were 35 students in class on the days I observed. Classes started
by the students exchanging their homework journal entry. So after it, the teacher make
groups to solve the diferentes activities that she has, she found this method to be quick and
effective. With this the teacher can reference the list and try to stay on pace with
completing the lesson as she planned. Then students participate in fluency aactivities about
There is a case of inclusive education in the 4th grade, it is a boy and his name is Luis
Guillermo, the teacher spends a bit more time on him, it is interesting the way the teacher
teaches him the contents that the other students work, and how the boy shows a positive
The mediation and the support from the teacher to her students is very successful, she
speaks very clearly and audibly and treated all the students in an equitable manner, she also
invites her students to participate in the class in a kind way, likewise, she uses an
appropriate language for the students' level, the classes are bilingual, the indications are
given in English and Spanish, in both cases the teacher ensures that the instructions have
interest to them, a variety of materials are used and not only the workbook is followed, in
the classroom tools such as the recorder are used to strengthen the development of the class,
the material used keeps the students busy and helps them to develop mostly the language
skills. Finally, the evaluation of the students is related to the topic that they work in the
class, in this way the evaluation is significant for the students, the teacher for her part is
attentive to all the students participating in the evaluation monitoring their process.

MARIA, in 4° grade and I have felt very comfortable since the teachers of the school have
shown a kind attitude towards me, in the same way, the students receive me in a positive
way in their classrooms. This experience has been very meaningful and enriching for me
because it brings me closer to the teaching work and I can learn how to manage a
classroom, which activities are more interesting for students and which do not arouse much
interest in them, it has also been very useful in the sense that I learn how to treat my
students, find a balance between treating them kindly but not allowing them to take control
of the class and have disorder. I have to admit that I have felt very comfortable with the
acceptance that children show towards me, since the first day the children with a smile
made me feel accepted by them in a certain way, they respect me and in the majority of the
There is a very important aspect that has caught my attention and is that in two rooms 4°
and 4°B specifically, there are students who have Down syndrome respectively, I have
been able to observe how teachers make these students participate in his classes, in the
same way the other students demonstrate an open and friendly attitude with their classmates
Focusing now on the materials, with the observations I have learned that I must have
variety in them, taking into account that students learn in different ways, I must use
audiovisual materials or materials that they themselves make in the class, this last method
was used for a teacher in her class and it was very successful because her students kept
busy at the same time they learned new vocabulary and expressions.
Something that I did not like so much is that in the classrooms I have observed the ability
to speak is the least work, students do not use much language in class and this causes
children not develop their communication skills, for me it would be interesting for children
I have to emphasize that the students show a lot of interest in the English class and that
encourages me to observe the classes and see how they respond to the different activities
proposed by the teachers. I want to continue observing and seeing how the students
advance in the process and see what results they are getting.
As I said before, this experience is contributing a lot to my process as a student and future
English teacher because it gives us the opportunity to live more closely the experience as a
