PART – A

1. Identify the five components of a data communications system. What is an internet? What is the Internet?

a. A student break into a professor’s office to obtain a copy of the next day’s test.
b. A student gives a check for $10 to buy a used book. Later she finds that the check was cashed for $100.
c. A student send hundred e- mails per day to another student using a phony return e – mail address.
3. What are some of the factors that determine whether a communication system is a LAN or WAN?
PART – B

4. Define security goals and security services.

5. Prepare a detailed report on Common Integrated Police Application used by Indian Police visit a police station
which has CIPA working and find out how does it work and find out a few limitations of CIPA.
6. Suggest a framework for National ID Plan in Indian context

Instructions:

1. Students are requested not to submit incomplete and rough like assignments, which results the same as non-submission and hence not allowed to
sit for the Assignment Test and therefore their assignment mark for the same will be entered ZERO.
2. The Assignment should be written strictly on A4 sheet, in which the Cover Page and Assembly Language related answers should be in printed
form.
3. It is mandatory to write the question of every answer too.
4. Submission after the deadline is strictly rejected.
5. Students are directed to bring A4 sheet during the Assignment Test, which will be of only 15 minutes duration, and the remaining time will be as
usual converted into a lecture class.
