Hi, my name is Meg! Currently, I am a senior close to graduating from Northwest High School.

I
have been recently employed at Claire’s and am still going through the training process. I am
lucky to share my home with my father and stepmom, two of the most supportive people in my
life. I also have two fur babies, my chihuahua, Pablo and my rat, Brumpo. I am very passionate
about all animals, animation, and expressing myself through my art!

Academically, I put my best effort into my Career Center class, Visual Communications. This
class pushes me the farthest when it comes to achieving my career goals. The skills I’ve taken
from it will increase my chances of finding a great job in the artist industry. One of my strengths
is maintaining composure in a stressful situation and using problem solving to handle it. One of
my weaknesses is attendance, which I have a difficult time keeping up with.

My main hobby is drawing. Even if it is only a simple sketch, I like to draw as often as possible.
This helps me further improve and achieve a consistent art style. I also love to read, play video
games, and spend a lot of time with my friends, pets, and family!

The career pathway I have chosen is arts and communication. I hope to pursue a career in
graphic design because doing what I love is very important to me! After I graduate, I plan on
taking my core classes at Jackson College. After that, I will be transferring to Northern
Michigan University and enrolling in their graphic design program. Hopefully I will earn an art
degree and this will give me enough experience to achieve my career goals!

This portfolio page will be very useful in the future. It shows the overall greatest achievements
I have made, my art, and how I have worked to get this far. Being able to create a clean and
professional website should peak the interest of my colleges and future employers. The skills
I’ve learned while managing this website could also be considered as useful. Most importantly, I
can look back on this and take pride in all of my effort I put in to coming so far!
