MEGA AIR PISTON COMPRESSORS

Air compressors are used in a wide range of applications — from corner gas stations to major manufacturing plants. And, more and more, air
compressors are finding their way into home workshops, basements and garages. Models sized to handle every job, from inflating pool toys to
powering tools such as nail guns, sanders, drills, impact wrenches, staplers and spray guns are now available through local home centres, tool
dealers and mail-order catalogues.
The big advantage of air power is that each tool doesn’t need its own bulky motor. Instead, a single motor on the compressor converts the
electrical energy into kinetic energy. Light, compact, easy-to-handle tools can run quietly and have fewer parts that wear out.
Each compressor type is designed for low maintenance in its field of operation, ensuring long intervals between servicing and easy access for
technicians. Compressor range offering oil-less, oil-free, and oil-lubricated design give you full control over gas purity levels. That extends all
the way to the stringent ISO class-zero standard. Thanks to proven piston-compression design, our equipment provides high reliability in your
operation. Towards that goal, we draw from years of experience in air.

AIR COMPRESSOR PUMP


Air compressor pump is the main part of the air compressor. One or more pistons
compress the air taken from the environment and deliver it to the tank.

air is delivered from the compressor pump to the tank.

NON RETURN VALVE

The non return valve is a one way valve that allows the air in one direction only (from
the compressor pump to the tank).

THE GAUGES
A gauge indicates the pressure of the air inside the tank. The other
one indicates the outlet regulated air pressure.

PRESSURE SWITCH
The pressure switch controls the compressor by switching the machine
off when the pressure inside the tank reaches the set value. It restarts
the compressor when the compressed air is used and the air pressure
drops under set value.

AIR TANK
Air tank stores the accumulated
compressed air ready to use.

A reciprocating compressor or piston compressor is a positive-displacement compressor that uses pistons driven by a crankshaft to deliver
gases at high pressure.
The intake gas enters the suction manifold, then flows into the compression cylinder where it gets compressed by a piston driven in a
reciprocating motion via a crankshaft, and is then discharged. Applications include oil refineries, gas pipelines, chemical plants, natural gas
processing plants and refrigeration plants. One specialty application is the blowing of plastic bottles made of polyethylene terephthalate
(PET).
In the ionic liquid piston compressor many seals and bearings were removed in the design as the ionic liquid does not mix with the gas.
Service life is about 10 times longer than a regular diaphragm compressor with reduced maintenance during use, energy costs are reduced by
as much as 20%. The heat exchangers that are used in a normal piston compressor are removed as the heat is removed in the cylinder itself
where it is generated. Almost 100% of the energy going into the process is being used with little energy wasted as reject heat.

Protects against accidental contact with moving parts and directs cooling air to the areas
where heat is generated.

Coaxial driven compressors

Direct-transmission compressors have a compressor pump connected directly to the motor, which means that compact
design has no transmission loss.

The shape of the plastic cover allows greater cooling through the compressor head itself, which ensures better compressed
air quality and longer compressor lifetime. Compressors feature high efficiency, extremely easy to use and maintain.

The family of compressors with direct transmission combines applications suitable for hobby as well as for semi-
professional use.
Direct-transmission compressors have a single-phase motor with overheating protection and auto-restart. Depending
on the power of the compressor, the cylinders are made of the aluminium or cast iron.

Warranty and service

Whether oil-free or oil-lubricated: our piston compressors offer impressive performance, including with frequent load changes and continuous operation.
These benefits are rounded off by a long service life, simple maintenance and excellent value for money. For automotive, light industrial and other challenging
applications, MEGA Series compressors are built to last. Precision-machined components and a dedication to materials of construction that are meant for real
world working conditions further assure long-term durability.
Intake air filters should be replaced annually for maximum performance and protection of the compressor. The intake filter should be changed more often when
the compressor is operating in extreme conditions with high levels of contaminants in the air. Muffler assemblies should be replaced every 6 months under
normal operating conditions and more often when operating under extreme conditions.
Special attention must be given to changing the oil, it must be on time and frequent enough to keep your compressor operate for a long time and without errors.

The electro-compressors are warranted for 12 months as from duly documented date of sale. This warranty is granted only to clients who are up to date with their
payments. The compressor is warranted for normal operational duty of 8 hours per day in a suitable place. The compressor must be expertly installed. In the event
of trouble caused by manufacturing faults occurring during the warranty period, the manufacturer shall replace free of charge parts recognised as faulty. Travelling
and labour costs shall be, in any event, charged to the client.

MEGA AIR Series Synthetic Compressor Oil is a long-life, premium compressor lubricant based on novel, proprietary technology. It incorporates
the highest quality, thermally stable PAO synthetics fortified with premium non-detergent additives for maximum protection at high
temperatures. It improves Compressor Efficiency. Oil has low friction properties, resists viscosity increase from oxidation and helps improve
operating efficiency. Controls Foam and Reduces Wear: oil contains anti-foam additives and, unlike some other compressor oils, is anti-wear
fortified. Good foam control reduces heat, oxidation and wear. High contact regions are protected against wear for increased compressor life
and lower maintenance costs.
