ALKYL BENZNE Oils For Refrigeration Compressor ISO VG 32 46 68 100

[FRIZ LUBE AB – Refrigeration Oils based on ALKYL BENZNE for excellent miscibility with CFC & HCFC)]

Description: Alkyl benzenes (AB)

FRIZ LUBE AB S / FRIZ LUBE AB SP series Chemically and thermally highly stable ALKYL BENZNE Oils (AB) oils. A
special refining treatment during the production process further improves the low temperature properties as well as
the chemical and thermal stability of these oils. These products display outstanding additive solubility. Because of
their favourable miscibility with HCFCs even at low temperature FRIZ LUBE AB SP series products are recommended
for R22 and its mixtures. The FRIZ LUBE AB SP grades containing AW additives are not suitable for NH3 systems. The
FRIZ LUBE AB S series does not contain AW additives and is recommended for NH3 applications. FRIZ LUBE AB S / SP
series products can also be used with HCFCs re frigerants such as R22. For NH3 applications and HYDRO CARBON
refrigerants. Also suitable for CO2 (not miscible with CO2). DIN 51503 - KAA, KB, KE.developed for ammonia
applications. DIN 51503-KAA. FRIZ LUBE AB 68 synthetic refrigeration compressor lubricant is formulated from the
highest quality alky late base stocks. It is recommended for service where evaporator temperatures may be lower than
(-45 degrees C) and where improved performance and reliability are desirable. FRIZ LUBE AB (Alkyl benzene), FRIZ
LUBE AB S series, FRIZ LUBE AB SP series Chemically & thermally highly stable ALKYL BENZNE Oils (AB) oils. A

synthetic HYDRO CARBONs. FRIZ LUBE AB 68 has been developed specially for the lubrication of highly stressed NH3
compressors. Excellent stability with NH3. Excellent low temperature flowability, suitable for evaporation
Temperatures below -50°C. Very good thermal stability. Very good lubricity also in HYDRO CARBON (propane R290,
Propylene R1270, etc.) and CO2 applications (not miscible with CO2). FRIZ LUBE AB UltraCool 68 and UltraCool 100
combine high thermal stability (no varnish, no sludge) and low evaporation rate (low oil carry-over/ low oil loss) with
good Elastomer compatibility (CR, HNBR, NBR). Fully synthetic refrigeration oils based on chemically and thermally
stable alkyl benzenes. ARCTIC SP 32, 46, 100 and 220 contain highly effective AW* additives (not suitable for NH3
applications).Excellent miscibility and excellent stability with HCFC refrigerants (e.g. R22). DIN 51503 - KC, KE
.ARCTIC S 3246 and ARCTIC S 68 do not contain AW* additives and are suitable for use with HCFC refrigerants,
HYDRO CARBONs and NH3. DIN 51503 - KAA, KC, KE..
Benefits: • Improved compressor efficiency. • Excellent high temperature stability. • Superior solubility characteristics
with refrigerants. • Excellent compatibility with seal materials. • Outstanding low temperature properties. • Improved
wear protection at elevated temperatures. • No deposit formation in low temperature systems. • Extended service life
and longer drain intervals. • High degree of chemical stability. • Eliminates degradation & sludge formation associated
with conventional mineral oils. • Prevents fouling of heat transfer surfaces and plugging of evaporators and expansion
valves. • Improved resistance to foaming over conventional refrigeration oils.

Recommendation: FRIZ LUBE AB68 Refrigeration lubricant is recommended for all refrigeration compressor types
including reciprocating, centrifugal and rotary. These lubricants are compatible with ammonia and CFC, HCFC
refrigerants such as R12, R13, R22, R114, R123, R124, R401A, R401B, R401C, R402A, R402B, R403, R500, R502 and
R503 in both industrial and marine applications. Shell Clavus AB oils are not compatible with R134A. Shell Clavus AB
68 is fully compatible with conventional mineral oils and materials constructed of Mylar™, Polypropylene, Viton™,
Buna-N, Neoprene and Nylon™ Elastomers.
