ASSIGNMENT ON AGMARKNET – TOOL PowerBI

Steps to do analysis in PowerBI
1.) Open Agmark.net website.

2.) In the search bar on the website.

 In the Price/Arrivals column, select “Price”
 in commodity column, choose “Mango”
 in State column, choose “Uttar Pradesh”
 In Date From and Date To columns, choose
dates from which you want to analyze
data.
3.) Choose “Export to Excel button” in the next
window.
4.) Excel file will be downloaded as
“Agmarknet_Price_Report.xls” and it has been
renamed to “Mango.xls”
5.) Open powerBI tool. Click on “New” button.
Then choose “Get data”. Choose “Excel”
option.

6.) Click file named as “Mango.xls” and open it.

7.) Excel file agmarknet_price_report.xls will be
displayed on the next screen, load it.

8.) Once the excel file gets imported in powerBI,

click slicer and drag columns in left side. For eg.
Commodity, district name, grade, market
name, max price, min price, modal price, price
date, state, variety etc.
9.) For generating hierarchies, click “commodity”
on left hand side of the screen, then click “new
hierarchy”. In new hierarchy, click on
“varieties”, then “add to hierarchy in the
commodity”.
