ANNUAL PROGRAM (2018)

AREA LEVEL GRADE TEACHER(S)

English Secondary IIIº Grade Isabel Yañez ,Josué Guerrero, Nelly Vargas Machuca, Nelida Tarazona

Learning English as a foreign language and as lingua franca is framed within an intercultural view of education, where English becomes an essential tool of
communication and interaction that allows access, not only to new knowledge, but also to a diversity of cultures and realities, to different lifestyles and thoughts
that contribute to the growth of the student as an integral being.
Research, reading and projects as sources of motivation and knowledge are our foundations in the Secondary level. The learning goals established for every
group of students consolidate the linguistic, cognitive, metacognitive and pragmatic knowledge that students must accomplish in terms of comprehension and
production of oral and written texts that include expository, persuasive and argumentative texts. Continuous exposure to cooperative, collaborative and reflexive
work promotes an appropriate environment to strengthen self-esteem and develop critical thinking.
