1. GENERAL
1.0 This procedure defines the minimum requirements for storage and preservation CPP
(Genset packages) been supplied to Turkstream Kiyikoy Captive Power Plant Project.

1.1 The procedure also recommends minimum post shipment preservation requirements
for the equipment on arrival at the onshore module fabrication yard.

1.2 This procedure includes preservation recommendations prior to commissioning of the

gensets after arrival to the site in Kiyikoy.

2. PRESERVATION

2.0 All piping blinds are to be fitted with rubber gaskets and metal blind at the genset
enclosures.

2.1 All loose packages (panels, etc) shall have the lateral and longitudinal centre of gravity
marked by "+" on all sides of the skid base.

2.2 All shipped loose equipment (if any) and materials shall be crated in weatherproof
crating. Each separate crate shall have a packing list placed internally and externally,
with markings as detailed.

2.3 Each crate and loose piece of equipment shall be marked.

2.4 Cable openings in Junction Boxes, instruments etc. shall be plugged.

2.5 Any items/equipment that project outside of skid base edges shall be removed and
packed/stored separately.

3. POST SHIPMENT UNPACKING, HANDLING AND SHORT TERM STORAGE

3.0 On arrival at the CPP packages shall be subject to receiving inspection by the Client.

3.1 Equipment shall be temporarily stored in a secure area on a flat hard standing, self
draining surface away from moving vehicles, areas which may be prone to dropped
objects, general construction areas and, any blasting/painting areas. Equipment should be
stored on suitable blocks above the normal grade.

3.2 Any paint damage caused as a result of sea fastening removal or lifting operations shall
be repaired as soon as practical.

3.3 All glass faced instruments should be checked for damage prior to pre-commissioning
activities.

3.4 Skid open drain connections should have any temporary protection blinds removed to
allow draining from the skid drain box.

3.5 Packages should be routinely inspected to ensure that there have been no adverse
affects as a result of atmospheric or climatic conditions.

4. LONG TERM STORAGE

4.0 In general the requirements of Section 5.0 should be followed with the additional
requirements as below.

4.1 Packages should be routinely inspected to ensure that there have been no adverse affects
as a result of atmospheric or climatic conditions or visible effects of seal/packing
deterioration.
4.2 Major Components
4.2.1 Alternator

If it is possible anticondensation heater of the alternator shall be energized in order to prevent

the possible condensation. Apart the condensation there is no other specific preservation for
the alternator.

4.2.2 Radiator

The cooling circuitry is filled with a liquid (50% water, 50% glycol) to supply the freezing point
less than 20degC. The freezing point of this liquid shall be checked by refractometer prior to
winter times to be ensure enough freezing capability of the coolant liquid. If the freezing point
measured above 20degC the glycol shall be added to the coolant circuitry. If it is possible
anticondensation heater of the radiator fan motor shall be energized in order to prevent the
possible condensation inside the motor.

4.2.3 Coolant pumps motor

If it is possible anticondensation heater of the coolant pumps motor shall be energized in

order to prevent the possible condensation inside the motor.

4.2.4 Battery bank

The batteries is fiiled with liquid and delivered as ready to use. The related battery charger
shall be energized to supply charge voltage to the related battery bank.

4.2.5 CAT Engine

More detailed preservation instruction shall be following CAT specification pages.
