 Select this option if the caller is inquiring about leasing a vehicle.
 Select this option if the caller is interested in a car, even if the car is not available at this time.
Example.

*The caller informs the agent that application is submitted and the agent says he will check and call back.
*Do calls coming from an auto broker asking availability of a vehicle and its price are considered as
inventory calls?

* Is it still inventory if the caller's lease is about to expire or end in a date and he wanted to trade for his
vehicle preference

 Not Inventory: service or parts


o Select this option if the caller is inquiring about service for their vehicle or to discuss a vehicle
that is already being serviced at the dealership.
o Select this option if the caller is calling for the body shop.
o Select this option if the caller is asking about information or the price of parts.

Ex

*Caller is asking about the status of the vehicle dropped for service, the agent informs that the service
department is busy and takes down the number and says that they will check and call back

*If the caller calls the service department to find out if it's O.K. to pay for an oil change with a money
order. It would actually depend on whether the caller reaches the service dept or other. If they reach a
rep in service, it is considered - Not Inventory: Service/Parts

*The caller talks BOTH about the symptoms car is having and the car warranty

*If caller was calling the service dept. Under the category Inventory discussion+ to reschedule or confirm
an appt

 Not inventory: call related to finance or payments of a currently owned car


o Select this option if ONLY financing was discussed, and there was no interest in purchasing a
new or used vehicle from this dealer.
o Select this option if the caller is interested in refinancing a car that was already purchased.
o Select this option if the caller is ONLY interested in discussing payments of a currently owned
vehicle.

 Not inventory: general conversation or dealer trade


o Select this option if it is clear the caller is not interested in buying or selling a vehicle.
o Select this option if the caller ONLY asks about renting a vehicle.
o Select this option if the caller is ONLY asking about a warranty, tags, or plates.
o Select this option if the caller has a general question unrelated to inventory.
o Select this option if the caller ONLY asks about hours of operation.
o Select this option if this call is in regards to a dealer trade. A dealer trade is when a dealer will
exchange one of his cars with another dealer to meet a customer’s likes or requirements in
color, equipment or model.
 Example call - Agent: "Nissan sales department, How can I assist you?" // Caller: "Hey, this is
Mike from XYZ Nissan. I need some help with a dealer trade. I need to see if you have that
Altima in stock for a customer I have here." //Agent: "Yep, we've still got that." // Caller: "Great!
I'll send my guy over to get it." // Call ends.
Ex
*The caller asks for agent X, the caller gets connected to agent X. The agent informs that he is talking to
someone who is sitting with him and says he will call back.

If the only information discussed was the agent's intent to call back, this would be General conversation.
However, if there was any mention of inventory, a desire to sell, buy, trade, or lease a vehicle, or any
indication a sales opportunity is present, then the correct selection is Inventory Discussion = Yes.

Caller never connected to a live, qualified agent


 Select this option if the call never connected to the intended person, and was not handled by
another qualified agent.
 Select this option if the call reached voicemail.
 Select this option if the caller was left on hold.
 Select this option if the call connection was lost.
 Select this option if the caller leaves a live message.

*If someone calls the service department to find out if their car is ready, but they have to leave a
message for the service person to call them back
