My name is Jennifer Ackley, and I am proud to offer my recommendation of Emma Jenkins with
whom I have personally worked with during the 2018-2019 school year. Ms. Jenkins worked as a
high school intern in my 4th grade classroom at Strawbridge Elementary School in Virginia
Beach, Virginia.

During my working relationship with Ms. Jenkins I have experienced an individual who is
flexible, hardworking, and dedicated. She consistently carries herself in a polite, professional,
and respectable manner. In addition, Ms. Jenkins is exceptionally gifted at building relationships
with students while maintaining a positive and encouraging classroom environment. During her
time in the classroom, Ms. Jenkins got to work with a variety of students, including students with
individualized education plans. This gave her the chance to show off her patience as well as her
differentiation skills. She was consistently punctual, prepared, and positive. During the
internship she wrote detailed lesson plans which met state standards and successfully worked
with small groups in the classroom. It is without reservation that I recommend Ms. Jenkins for
any teaching position or teaching program that she may pursue in the future.
