Job Responsibilities:

Instrument engineer responsible for the documentation, erection and installation of the
electrical and instrumentation field devices in BPCL Kochi Refinery (Propylene
Derivative Petrochemical Project). Supervise Instrumentation engineering projects.
Reports the daily project updates to the Instrumentation Manager.

Key skills practiced:

• Instrumentation Cable laying with Cable Tray, Glanding & Tubing

• Installation of the Junction Box
• Erection, installation and commissioning of all field instruments ( Pressure,
Temperature, Low and Level Instruments ) Control valves, On-Off valves and ESD

• Installation, Calibration, Loop Checking, Zero Checking, Stroke Checking of the
Control Valve
• Familiar with Honey Well TDC3000 DCS pre commissioning, SCADA, SIEMENS S5 PLC
• Familiar with EMERSON ESD ( emergency shutdown system ), GE VMS ( vibration
monitoring system ) pre commissioning
• Project related Documentation preparation, Job Safety analysis, Method
Statement, Safety Plan.
• Familiar with the International Codes and standards related to Intrinsically Safe
Systems and Electrical Systems for Instrumentation
