Valve Types, Operations & Applications

Course outlines

Instructor
Eng. Ehab Abowarda
Duration
5 days
Overview
This course aims to provide the participants with a comprehensive knowledge of
different types of pumps, fans, compressors, and associated equipment, such as bearings,
seals, filters, separators with emphasis on physical principles and clear technical
reasoning.
Objectives
To provide participants with the means to properly operate and support the valves in a
way based on the good acquaintance with the modern technologies applied in this field..
Learning outcomes/ competencies
Upon completion of the course, the participant will have the knowledge and skills
related to different types of rotating equipment, being able to:-
1. Demonstrate a sound understanding of the functions and applications of
valves, their types, and components.
2. Understand normal valve operation, inspection and pre-operational checks.
3. Know about how to install, disassemble, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, align,
and reassemble a variety of valves.

Who should attend

• Maintenance Technicians/Operators/Senior Operators/Engineers and all those
who are involved in valves operation and maintenance.
Training Methodology
The course is highly interactive. Utilizing PowerPoint presentations, case studies,
group discussions and workshops.
