SPRING CURVING
Revolution Roofing is able to mechanically pre-curve its
‘True Oak’ and Corrugated 16mm products. However all
profiles are able to be fixed to a curved surface within
certain strict parameters which are listed in the following
tables. The process is referred to as ‘Spring Curving’ or
‘Spring Fixing’.

Start at the bottom on one side. Fix to the first purlin then
move to the next purlin up the roof. Continue in this manner
up the roof and then back down. If you fix one side then pin
the other side. Please not the sheet at the top may have a
gap between the purlins. Oil canning may also occur in the
process of spring curving ridges.

1. Scope of work
The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to the following;
• Supply & Installation of roof sheeting to the proposed new ‘Building A’.
• Supply & Installation of all gutters.
• Supply & Installation of all downpipes to existing stormwater system.
• Supply & Installation of wall cladding to proposed new ‘Building A’.

4. Inspection

Allow sufficient notice so that inspection can be made of the roof supports and all parts of the project that
pertain to the roofing and associated work which will be covered up or concealed.
5. Submissions
Metal Roofing General Test: Type test the roof sheeting and fastenings to AS 1562.1 for resistance to
concentrated load and to wind pressure.
• The preferred contractor must be a an Revolution Roofing Licensed Contractor to install the materials and to
gain the Revolution Warranties.
• The preferred contractor for the supply and installation of the project shall submit all structural engineering
plans, details, calculations and specifications to the clients and building certifier for review and approval before
commencement on site.
6. Materials & Components

• Finish- Prefinish exposed fasteners left unpainted to match the roofing material.
• Profiled Fillers- Purpose made closed cell polyrethylene foam profiled to match the roofing profile.
• Locate profiled fillers under flashings to ridges and eaves, as required.

9. Installation
Protection
General: Keep the roofing and rainwater system free of debris and loose material during construction, and leave
them clear and unobstructed on completion. Repair any damage to the roofing and rainwater system.
Thermal Movement
Provide thermal movement in the roofing installation and structure to deal with expansion and contraction.
Tolerances
Accepted tolerances as per the engineers specifications.
10. Completion
Warranties
The Revolution 20:20 Warranties (20 Year Watertight & 20 Year BlueScope Material Warranty) are required for
the project.
Damage
Any dented or otherwise damaged sheets are to be replaced at the expense of the contractor.
Maintenance Manual
Upon completion, a maintenance manual for the general maintenance and upkeep of the roof and associated
products will be provided by the roofing supplier.
