Functional description

Joystick (3)
An electronic, two-axis joystick type 4EJ SW‑E10 is used for Valve 1 axis
the tractor control valve TVC. 20˚ 20˚
The TVC software assigns valves 1 and 2 to the 4EJ
32
Joystick by default. Upon request, each of the valves 1
and 2 can be operated by a single-axis joystick (“Fingertip”,
16) (Caution: for this version only five Fingertips can be
connected to the controller and consequently only five EHS
valves can be controlled.).
The EJ Joystick moves the relevant valve proportionally and
steplessly in the “lift” and “lower” directions. The joystick can
control two valves (valve 1 and 2) proportionally at the same

118
time (e.g. for front loader tasks).
When the “Float position” button (14) is pressed, the
respective controlled valve is brought into the float position.

51
To achieve this, the joystick must be moved at least 50%
in the required axis and the float position must be activated
by twice pressing the “Float position” button (e.g. integrated
in the joystick handle). The joystick can then be returned to
the neutral position, the float position remains active. The

38
3
float position is ended by again moving the joystick briefly in
the same axis, the valve returns to neutral. The LEDs (18)
indicate the activated float positions for each valve.
70
The joystick is locked at system startup. To release the
joystick, the “Joystick on” button (15) must be pressed 102
for at least two seconds. When the joystick is not used,
it must again be locked with the button (15) so that any
Valve 2 axis
inadvertent joystick movement does not cause control of
the EHS valves. The current status is indicated by the LEDs 20˚ 20˚
(22). Various handle models with switches, buttons and
rollers exist for the EJ Joystick. They do not affect the basic
function of the joystick (movement in both axes) and they
have their own cable outlet. These controls can be used for
other different functions. However, the buttons and switches
can also be used for software functions. For example, it is
advisable to integrate the button for activation of the float
position in the handle. The wiring for this must be ensured.
