DEDICATION
This project is dedicated to our Parents who have never failed to give us
financial and moral support, forgiving all our needs during the time we
developed this portfolio and for teaching us that even the largest task can
be accomplished if it is done one step at a time. This portfolio is dedicated
to our work immersion teacher James Paul L. Baltazar, LPT without him
continued support and counsel we could not have completed this process.
We dedicate this Project to the owner of JPLB Metal Craft who work so
hard just to provide the quality & skills to us.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First and foremost we, the work immersion students offer our sincerest
gratitude to our work immersion teacher, James Paul L. Baltazar, LPT,
whose encouragement, guidance and support from the initial to the final
level enabled us to develop an understanding of the subject. Without his
guidance and persistent help this project would not have been possible.
The JPLB Metal Craft for accepting us to become their client, giving us the
opportunity to make an information system, and the processed that was
discussed to us, thanks to all. To our parents, we would like to thank to
them for supporting us in our daily lives, for going to school every day, and
having them by our sides to guide us always, their prosperity and love for
us. To the owner of our partner agency JPLB Metal Craft, for always
reminding what professional ethics is that made us a better individual, for
the advices that he has given to us and his support to us to be global
competitive students.
Last but not the least, to the one above all of us, the omnipresent God, for
answering our prayers for giving us the strength to plod on despite our
constitution wanting to give up and throw in the towel, thank you so much
Lord.

INTRODUCTION
According to Department of Education Order No. 30 s. 2017, one of
the goals of the K to 12 Basic Education program is to develop in learners
the competencies, work ethics and values relevant to pursuing further
education and or joining the world of work. In order that the nations
development target will be realized and to achieve greater congruence with
the basic education, work immersion is a required subject that has been
incorporated in the curriculum.
Under Annex A of Work immersion Curriculum Guide, it was

emphasized that through work immersion, students are exposed to and
become familiar with work related environment related to their field of
specialization to enhance their competence .This is for the purpose that the
students can relate directly to their postsecondary goal. Based from these
facts, this study claim on the focus of the objectives of work Immersion
that by the time learners reach senior High School, they would have
already acquired almost all the competencies and skills that would prepare
them for the curriculum exits (higher education, employment, middle-skills
development and entrepreneurship)

WORK EXPERIENCE
AREA: JPLB Metal Craft
On the 1stday of our work immersion,I feel nervous because

I thought that our boss or our partner agency rather was so cruel
but it’s not.We remove the roof that is thrown by typhoon
Ompong after that we remove the text screws by drill bit and the
roof that we remove,we build it again.
On the 2nd day of our work immersion,we remove what we

build on the first day. After lunch,we make two small gates but
we only finish one.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 3rdday of our work immersion, we continue our work

yesterday. Again, we finish it half day. Then we clean it with sand
paper and sander in order it to be painted. After it we spray
primer for the first coating.
On the 4thday of our work immersion,I painted two small

gates with different colors. I did it in one day while my three
colleagues, worked together for the repairing of the side car.

WORK EXPERIENCE
AREA:JPLB Metal Craft
On the 5thday of our work immersion, morning we deliver

the gate at Balzain which we made it by three days. We spent
half day for the attachment of the gate. After lunch, we try to be
a plumber. We repair pipes at our costumer’s house like shower
in the comfort room.
On the 6thday of our work immersion,I and Santiago Dulin

continue to repair the side car that they started. While Ricky
James and Jonald started to build a “kulong-kulong” that is
assigned on them.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 7thday of our work immersion, we continue our work

that is assigned to us because the owner of our partner agency is
out of town. They go to manila for the burial of his beloved love
ones.
On the 8thday of our work immersion,we put a patty on the

surface and joints of the side car to cover the holes on it. Then
after putting patty, we clean the surface with sandpaper to make
it smoothen and ready to be painted.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 9th day of our work immersion,I and Santiago painted

the side car with primer for the first coating until the last coating
which is the top coating. We did it the whole day.
On the 10thday of our work immersion,we attach the side car

to its motorcycle. Then we attach all the accessories of the side
car.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 1stday of our work immersion, I am so very excited

because we will be deploying at JPLB Metal Craft own by the
father of Sir James.I am lucky because I am going to work there
with my responsible friends. First thing we do is we remove the
stock roofs beside our workshop. We pull out all the text screws
and purlins so that we can use it again to build our workshop
extension.
On the 2nd day of our work immersion,exactly 8 in the

morning, Uncle Larry said that we will demolish the post and
trusses that we build yesterday.so we demolish it one by one.
After it,we pull out the rusty parts of a side car using a grinder
with a cutting disc and open-end wrenches. After lunch,I help
Edgar in making two small gates.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 3rd day of our work immersion,we continue our work

yesterday.We finish it half day. We clean it with sander and sand
paper.I prepare the spray gun and compressor. I put catalyst on
a bottle with primer paint and I mixed it. After it, Edgar sprays it
on the gate we build.
On the 4th day of our work immersion, we continue repairing the

side car. We measure the parts that will be changed. Then we cut
a 0.9 size galvanize iron sheet. We bend the edges for the
pattern and design of the side car.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 5th day of our work immersion, we deliver the two

gates at Balzain, infront of Balzain East Elementary School. After
lunch, we repair pipes and install shower at our costumer’s
house.
On the 6thday of our work immersion, I and Edgar continue to

repair the side car. I also help Jonald and Ricky in making the
kulong-kulong. Before we go home, we clean our work shop; we
put the tools in their respective places.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 7thday of our work immersion, I am lonely because

Uncle Larry will not able to guide us. He will be out of town for a
few days. But we still continue our work that is assigned to us
before they go to manila.
On the 8th day of our work immersion, it is my first time to put a

patty. I try to apply the surface and the joints of the side car we
repaired. I’m happy because I learn how to mix and apply patty.
When the patty is hardened, we clean its surface with sand paper
to make it smoothen.

WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 9thday of our work immersion, I try to spay primer

paint. While I’m doing this, Edgar teaches me how to do it
perfectly. After an hour, we clean it with water and sand paper to
make it smoothen.
On the 10th day of our work immersion, we attach the side

car to its motorcycle. I help uncle Larry in holding the kulong-
kulongs side cover while Edgar, Jonald and Ricky continue to
attach all the accessories of the side car.as our practice, before
we go home, we clean our workshop.

LEARNING FEEDBACK
“Life is a journey with problems to solve,lesson to learn but
most of all,experience to enjoy”
We learn to become a hardworking person.The time to finish
our roles and the work assigned to us is very important,but the
most important thing is we should do it correctly. We learn to
appreciate even the simplest lessons we’ve studied not only in the
school but also in motor pool. We learn how to follow
instructions, to accept or admit our mistakes and failures and we
should learn from it.
After the training, we realized that work immersion is not

just a requirement to be completed but it is an opportunity to
show the skills,knowledge and talents that they been teach to us.

CONCLUSION
In a span of 10 days working, we’ve learned so much and
met people.We’ve realized in our 2 weeks of immersion that it is
true what adults say that, It’ s better to study than to
work.Because when you work, you can't slack off. You can’t be
late,you can’t be absent without valid reasons, you can’t sleep
during work hours and all that but when you're still a student you
get allowance without working hard, you can enjoy and be free,
you can be late sometimes and you don’t have that much of a
responsibility.
Having an immersion in JPLB Metal Craft, We learned that there is

a time for work and time for enjoyment. We were able to develop
our time management in a way that we were able to be
productive during work. We also developed our social skills
wherein we easily got along with their neighbors and other clients
from different places. In our conclusion, our respect for everyone
improved and we are aware of our responsibilities and tasks.We
knew that we develop and grew mentally and emotionally.
