Physical Fitness- the ability to perform daily tasks with vigor and without undue
fatigue, and with sufficient energy to engage in leisure pursuits to meet
unforeseen emergencies and vitality to perform one's fullest capacity.
4. Flexibility- extent and range of motion around a joint without undue strain.
-ability of a joint to move freely in a range of motion
4 Range of Motion/ROM
a. Flexion- bending a body segment
b. Extension- straightening of a body segment
c. Abduction- moving a limb away from the midline of the body
d. Adduction- moving a limd toward the midline of the body
Body Types
a. Asthenic/Ectomorph
-"without strength", slim, shallow chested, tall in proportion to other weight
b. Athletic/Mesomorph
c. Pynik/Endomorph
Skill Related- concerned with performing sport-related skills better and more
efficiently and thus directed towards optimizing athletic performance
