Dear LAONA members, please find attached for your review the bank account
statement for November, 2013. Please note that this statement is for the Bank in
Missouri which is still open pending clearance of payments. You will see that two checks
cleared in November for a total of $1,000. Check #1005 for $600 made to
the organizaton (ACANA) assisting with aquiring LAONA's Tax Exemption Status and
check #1006 for $400 which went to the IRS directly.

Sincerely,
Florence Ocen

Dear Secretary,

Thank you for the timely report and for helping in the absence of the treasurer. I am
having trouble understanding the logic here, and I will appreciate clarification from you
at your earliest convenience.

1. Here is my question: In this email accompanying November 2013 bank statement

(see below), you started by saying that the bank statement is for the bank of Missouri
which is still open pending of clearance of payments. And yet, in the next sentence that
follows, you explain in no uncertain terms that the checks (checks #1005 and #1006)
were already cleared, and you provided proofs (attachment) to what you just said.

Is this an error?

2. In this email that accompanied the October 2013 bank statement (see below), you
stated that as soon as the checks #1005 and #1006 were cleared, ”the balance of the
funds will be transferred to the new account and the old account will be closed”.
Looking at the attached bank statements, check #1005 ($600.00) was cleared way
back on Nov. 15 and check #1006 ($400.00) was cleared way back on Nov. 26.

Has the transfer been to the new account already since all the checks were already
cleared - since Nov 26? If not, why not?

Thanks,

Caesar Ogole

Hello Caesar,
First of all I would like to make it clear that I am not helping in the absence of the
Treasurer – just so there is no confusion about that. I am aware of her absence but the
Treasurer never asked me or anyone else I know to act on her behalf while she is away.
The monthly bank statement for November that I sent out to the members was as usual
from the Chair.
There is no error regarding the payments I made reference to in the email. There are at
the moment pending payments waiting for settlement. Details may show up in the next
statement.
Sincerely,
Florence Ocen

You asked, "Has the transfer been to the new account already since all the checks were already
cleared - since Nov 26? If not, why not?"
No, the transfer to the new account has not yet taken place. The old bank account in
Missouri remains open until further notice as a convenient administrative means for the Chair to
settle easily LAONA's still pending financial obligation to ACANA, the organization that has
filed the application on behalf of our Association for its IRS nonprofit tax exemption status.
Thank you,

Mr. Caesar Ogole,

As Chair and CEO of LAONA, I find your letter below to the Secretary/Spokesperson for
our Association very unprofessional and offensive. What is this insinuation about the T-
Shirt/hats payments you are talking about? If you have an axe to grind with the Chair,
please address your concern to me directly but not indirectly through our honorable
Secretary or anyone else in my Administration.
I want the members of our Association to know today that I am very much aware of your
continuing open and mostly overt activities to undermine our on-going effort to build a
stronger Association.
In addition, I want the members to know that the behavior such as yours has miserably
tanished the image of our Association. The fact that the majority of our members have
not joined you in your obsessive postings on this forum speaks volumes of where they
stand. I applaud them for their stand. I will not let you succeed as long as I have the
honor to be the Chair and the CEO of this fledgling Association.
You are not a member of the Board of Directors or of the Executive. You are not privy to
the Board or the Executive decisions. Who are you to be demand for answers from any
members of the Board or the Executive? It is presumptuous to assert that you are
speaking for anybody in this Association. Speak for yourself!

LAONA

Mr. Chair,

Let me start by clarifying that my postings are done effortlessly because I have
correct/true information at my fingertips starting from day one (results for the survey
1)! It is more difficult and time-consuming to “obsessively” sustain fabricated
facts, like in your case – the reason you sometimes go AWOL.

Let me address the following issues regarding LAONA as an organization for the
people/members. I may repeat certain things, which I already had mentioned before in
very clear terms, but you seem not to get it!

1. I find your inconsistent and contradicting responses and postings very

unprofessional, especially since you claim to have support for the Association to have
only the spokesperson to communicate official matters. You really make our dear
Secretary look bad (incompetent) in public because you ask/use her to relay
information, and yet when she is asked (in a healthy but challenging manner), you – as
Chair - jump in and start saying people are attacking the Secretary! You have caused a
lot of strains in our good relationship with our humble Secretary by [you] opting to use
her “selectively” as a spokesperson. I would like to make members know today that the
Secretary is simply being used to broadcast messages so that people like us who [used
to] enjoy warm relationship with the seemingly naturally amiable Secretary do not get to
ask her questions in a challenging manner in public. However, as a person who has
extensive leadership experience from various successful organizations and who has
worked to create this association from day one (and the Secretary knows this since I
was her “buddy” when she just ‘joined’), I will not stop asking tough questions. I would
like urge the many members who also made similar observations to continue with that
“hawk-eyed-ness” and not bow to this obvious trickery. We need clear-headed
leadership, and not appeal to pity, appeal to force and/or inappropriate appeal to
authority – all of which are forms of fallacious arguments that I referred to the now very
popular Thanksgiving message/report.

Mr Chair, give our Secretary a chance to think and act independently otherwise you
may make people draw conclusions (e.g. that she is a puppet, being manipulated, etc)
especially if you jump in (with rage) to help her respond to challenging questions.
Members once had a lot of confidence in her abilities.
2. As Chair and CEO of LAONA, I find your letter below to the
Secretary/Spokesperson for our Association very unprofessional and offensive. What is
this insinuation about the T-Shirt/hats payments you are talking about?

Mention of T-shirt/hats is not an insinuation. Rather, it is probably the only alternative

justification for other “pending payments” at this time. What else then? If in the
previous months, you could voluntary provide details of pending payments (including
check numbers, etc), why not provide the details of pending payments to accompany
the November statement?

And since when did you become CEO of LAONA? Don’t just copy what the 26-year
old Chair/CEO of UNAA does? UNAA leadership structure is different from ours! You
are Chairman of LAONA Board of Directors, not Chairman/CEO of LAONA!

If you have an axe to grind with the Chair, please address your concern to me
directly but not indirectly through our honorable Secretary or anyone else in my
Administration.

Mr. Chair, it would be illogical for me to respond with questions (directed to the
Chair) when, in fact, the emails are coming from the Secretary. Again, you are using
the Secretary as a shield to spread dubious information, and when we question, you
say we are attacking her. The Secretary must realize this by now.

If finds that she must keep working under duress (at the risk of her hard-earned
reputation), she must take a cue from the UNAA Council Secretary who resigned
only a couple of days ago. All the members know that no one has issue against the
Secretary, but she is being used a shield – which is serving as an impediment to
what should be natural progress of organization.

On this note, I would like to encourage our members who have persevered under
the tough circumstances where we see nothing developmental coming form the
Chair, other emails that seem to suggest that he is only perfecting his skills in
defensiveness. Keep your cool! Hopefully, things will get better

I want the members of our Association to know today that I am very much aware of your
continuing open and mostly overt activities to undermine our on-going effort to build a
stronger Association.

Our members are very respectable people who cannot be fed with inconsistent reports.
This month, you say “pending payments”. Next month, you give another reason, and
next month, another one! And the so-called bank account is dwindling to zero. No
member has subscribed in ages! No member has honored pledges towards legal fee in
ages, save for a few who have started depositing their donations in the new Nation-wide
(in fact, international) TD Bank account!

All these should speak volumes to you Mr. Chair! We are trying to use every civil means
to mediate unwanted conflicts, name-calling, etc – but you are bent on your lines that
are clearly not working! You think I didn’t have a great vision when I helped create this
association from day one?

In addition, I want the members to know that the behavior such as yours has miserably
tarnished the image of our Association.

No, it is you who is using ridiculous methods to make it appear that you created this
association single-handedly, e.g. by using overt/blatant methods of donating extra $2 on
top of what our naturally “would-be” highest donor gave. (Refer to your $142 donation).
Everybody sees these, and wonders why you shouldn’t focusing on developing and
sharing comprehensive plans with members instead of fighting tooth and nails to control
everything (e.g. bank account). We thought we should let the younger, energetic
Treasurer run around depositing the little checks, while you – the respected elder
should be focusing on bigger strategic plans. (formerly
http://www.laonaweb.org/strategic_plan.aspx )

Now, we are getting into the third quarter and no development plan shared with
members yet, and you are blatantly asking members to keep keeping quiet? Let’s get
serious with leadership!

The fact that the majority of our members have not joined you in your obsessive
postings on this forum speaks volumes of where they stand. I applaud them for their
stand. I will not let you succeed as long as I have the honor to be the Chair and the
CEO of this fledgling Association.

You are assuming too much Mr. Chair. You are a Chair, yes – but you are not a CEO.
Why do you develop all these fantasies? My posting is not obsessive. I will not let you
feed us wrong/inconsistent information, and you expect to go unquestioned or held
accountable!

You should know better since you are a UNAA Council member. You see that you can’t
just wake up and just say anything and expect the shrewed members to just let you go!
But it doesn’t now surprise our members that UNAA are considering “outsourcing” their
leadership!

I applaud our members! We need strong leaders who can do real things, instead of just
holding and adding new titles to their positions. Otherwise, I don’t know what I should be
calling myself: Member Emeritus /volunteer/counselor/mediator/ etc
Let’s do real work instead of being defensive! You will soon get to understand what
these “obsessive postings” mean!

You are not a member of the Board of Directors or of the Executive. You are not privy to
the Board or the Executive decisions. Who are you to be demand for answers from any
members of the Board or the Executive?

Mr. Chair, what is this big deal about being a member of Board of Directors? You seem
to think it is a very powerful position that you can use to override members’
power/suggestions/power.

And again, you should know I opted out of the Board because I don’t look at positions
as if it were such a power that I can use for my personal benefits. I can still contribute
ideas, money, etc even though I am not part of the Board.

And, I don’t have to be privy to the Board decisions, but when information is presented
to members, they must add up, otherwise you don’t expect to be playing simple,
elementary tricks on esteemed members. Members deserve much better than that. For
example, if you say something in the month of October, a follow-up in the month of
November must be consistent. Does that require a member to be privy with the Board?

And you intentionally withhold information from members (through ambiguities, through
selectively using “Spokesperson”, etc), so that you keep using your excuse “you lack
Board information”, you are not privy!” Then, give us the information that we lack and
bail yourself out. If not, don’t expect members to blindly believe you! We created this
association with a clear sense of purpose, not for manipulation.

Please, this is a chance for you to build your legacy – in this particular line. Make good
use of it.

Manipulation will not only lead to failure and disunity, but it will tarnish your reputation!

Like all the members of this association, I am very determined to have LAONA and
Lango get to grow (again)! And that includes ZERO TOLERANCE FOR
MANIPULATION!

Ask yourself: “If I am doing the right thing, why can’t I convince my other colleagues,
friends and even enemies to join the association? Why am I stuck with nothing to show
for progress (except the Missouri Bank Account) which, by the way, was created during
the good old days when I as entrusted as the Facilitator?”- when you had the power to
single-handedly open a bank account and relay “BREAKING NEWS!”

Not anymore! Not any more my brother, Mr. Chair! Members have absolute power now!
And please, find another set of words instead of the archaic, ... very "unprofessional..."!

Best wishes,
Caesar

P.S I urge you to (re-)read through my posting below again.

Dear Mr. Caesar Ogole,

I see very little or nothing new in your posting that deserves any serious response from me at this
time. I have read enough of your claims to the creation of the Association. For your
information, I was not only there when the Association was created. I was the elected Facilitator
of its creation. I know everyone's voluntary contributions to the formation of our Association. I
was the one who invariably asked them to volunteer to serve in the various capacities and they
accepted my invitations. Afterwards, I was the one who was elected as the founding Chair of the
Association. I do not need for you or for anyone else to lecture me on who did what, where and
when. I am very particularly knowledgeable of the extent of your personal contributions to this
Association. Although you are entitled to your opinion, please do not underestimate the

1. Thank you Mr. Chair,

I will respond systematically.

2. I have read enough of your claims to the creation of the Association.

You have not yet read enough of my claims. And they are not claims. They are undisputed facts! And I
wouldn’t need to go into that had you not acted so selfish or egocentric soon after we entrusted you with
the leadership – to the extent where you were just bullying everyone on sight! Leaders need to be
humble! We have been (or are) leaders too, Sir!

3. For your information, I was not only there when the Association was created.
Yes, you were there. I did not say you were not there. You were there just as an ordinary person who
could not move the earth of LAONA without our support. Then, it was me who supported (through
reviewing) and very vigorously “selling” to members your “Jefferson’s’ draft Constitution” even though you
were just an ordinary member – not even a serious voice within the Interim Executive Committee. Only
Caesar and Ben supported your Constitution openly at that time! It makes sense why you want to keep
them far away so you can keep exerting you tyrannical power. Do you want me to provide the email
records? That’s when you came into limelight. If I had opted to support the draft Constitution of other
members (and not yours), you would be nowhere! Remember the copy and paste (modified) UK
Constitution that I rejected very vocally in favor of your draft? You were so excited that I supported you to
that extent, and your comment was like, “ Yes, like Caesar said, we need to be original…” It is such a very
humble beginning for you, why I am surprised you have taken to disrespecting everyone who made you.
Until you are kicked out, you won’t understand the power that the real-makers of things have!

4. I was the elected Facilitator of its creation.

Yes, no one is disputing. You were elected, after a fairly firmer foundation (see 2 above) was set for you.
After people had helped you gain popularity among the many other great potential candidates. It is good
to know we still have these great candidates here!

3. I know everyone's voluntary contributions to the formation of our Association.

Good that you know that you know people’s voluntary contributions. Yours is also a voluntary
contribution, right? But why don’t you genuinely reflect that in your speeches, and written records? So
people get to know you did all by yourself? So you have a ground to disrespect, bully, dictate, etc?

4. I was the one who invariably asked them to volunteer to serve in the various capacities and they
accepted my invitations.

You had no choice but to “invariably” ask them to volunteer. That is the least that what was expected of
you as a facilitator, so it is nothing outstanding! And people accepted because people had
trust/confidence in you (at that time). People wanted the association to grow, and they were not hungry
for power, so they did not refuse to accept to volunteer. They had much expectations in you, in brief.

5. Afterwards, I was the one who was elected as the founding Chair of the Association.
True, because as a Facilitator, you had the backing of the volunteers who helped you look fairly good by
giving you technology reports to send out, while you chanted, “LAONA is unstoppable!” etc. But, the
nomination exercise was not unfair. There were many conflicting interests, but you usurped that
opportunity to sell yourself, only for you to turn a completely different person – not welcoming people to
challenge you (with questions) once you were elected! Your responses mostly do not add up, etc. And
that’s what we continue to observe!

Of course some of the new people who just came to learn more at the Convention for the first time didn’t
know all these, - why I am careful not to argue with them, for they may think I am just chaotic – yet not. It
may take them a while to understand and see for themselves what I mean. No one, including myself
cared if you were elected Chair, for I still had some faith in you – although you suppressed my opinion to
have a fair nomination where people would campaign openly prior to the Convention.

We would not be having all these levels of mistrust among us, only if we had allowed time for people to
express their interests for the offices. We would also have all competent people on the Board. I still
believe we have a fairly good number of competent people, but you are using your “authoritarian
leadership” – mainly because you are presenting yourself as the maker of all the things, which is far from
truth. Tell us, what have you done for the association besides creating logo/T-shirts and opening the bank
account (that you can’t let go – even for the sake of UNITY!) that we haven’t done? And you created the
Constitution with the help/support of a few people. Why can’t you acknowledge that publicly? So that new
people keep thinking you are the magic creator of all these, and therefore give you excessive
respect/adoration?

It is why I say that we must not turn around and start disrespecting any fellow Board members or regular
members! You opted not to have an open Campaign before Convention, yet I reasoned it out that – that
would help us understand each other better. Now, you don’t need to be tossing any Board member – for
any reason! Focus on your role as Chair. Let Treasurer do her job! Let Secretary do her job, and not
under duress! We have confidence in those people – and not you alone!
Let Vice Chair do her job, etc! Listen to members! Let things be participatory!

Now that you are the Chair, show us the equivalent of the “technology progress report” so we can chant
“LAONA is unstoppable” – instead of clinging on Missouri village bank. With this bad economy, what if the
single location village/community bank goes bankrupt? Then the entire LAONA of North America will got
stuck more! Let’s shift to TD Bank without further rationalization of “ACANA”, etc. Those talks of yours
don’t hold water. Let the younger energetic Treasurer take the burden of running around with small
checks while you focus on bigger things: strategic plans!

I do not need for you or for anyone else to lecture me on who did what, where and when.

As long as you don’t disrespect anyone! As long as we (re)write the history accurately, otherwise we will
keep letting new members know the past so they can understand the status quo. That won’t be lecturing
you. It will be informing members, but hopefully, we won’t have to do that if things change for the better!
The office of the Secretary must keep accurate records; otherwise all these distorted facts are
unacceptable. No one has that time to lecture these things anyway. If you wanted full control of an
organization (with people who obey you blindly), you would have formed your own private association!

I am very particularly knowledgeable of the extent of your personal contributions to this Association.

Then tell people about it. If it is not complete and accurate, I will provide more substantiated facts! Don’t
start writing things to undermine anyone! We are very respected people wherever we go, in case you are
not aware!

Although you are entitled to your opinion, please do not underestimate the intelligence, knowledge and
wisdom of the silent majority of our members.

We do things with reason, not appealing to the pity/sympathy!

Before I forget it, let’s not divert from the topic. The topic is/was:

Again, what payments are pending? And why the shift of goal posts after clearance of #1005 and
#1006? We need to have that old transfer done and account done before our mighty Treasurer
returns from her holidays! I am afraid she won’t be very happy if things are still “pending”!

We don't want to carry this mess into the new year, unless we really have time to continue playing these
very simple word tricks at the expense of our reputation. And these electronic trails (emails) serve as
evidence/premises for future arguments - just so we all know.

Thank you,

Caesar
P.S. I just read the long email “{Laonanet} Letter to Chair, LAONA” . Can we have a comprehensive
response to that?

Dear Mr. Caesar Ogole,

I do not know about you but if you are like me your plate would be too full with more important
things to do than with your incessant letter writing pretty much ado about nothing, except to
whine and grind about things that are mostly none of your business in the first place, or simply to
try to draw attention to your self.
You wrote, “Only Caesar and Ben supported your Constitution openly at that time! It makes
sense why you want to keep them far away so you can keep exerting you tyrannical power."
I have nothing personal against you and Ben. However, isn’t it rather strange that you are the
usual two members out the over 30 members we have in the Association, who are often posting
negative stuffs about the Chair or Board members as the case may be?
Do I need to remind you that Ben had an opportunity to serve as an honorable Board member but
quit the Board membership through his own volition?
In addition, do I need to remind you that you too had a golden opportunity to make a real
contribution to the Association with your ill-fated software initiative but you chose to withdraw
it from our consideration for reasons we can only speculate but best known to you?
Listen; in a cultural association such as ours, it is always wise to think twice before you leap
about anything. There is no need for you or anyone else to always assume an unnecessary self
destructive argumentative posture just to try to prove that they were the smartest kid on the
block? No body cares! Hello! It’s a cultural organization!
Thanks,
Prof Omara-Alwala, Chair
LAONA

Subject: Re: Bank Account Statement of November, 2013 - Questions

Mr Chair Omara Alwala,

Your arguments are still very wanting! It makes perfect sense why you often decide to
go AWOL: because you cannot sustain discussion in principled or objective manner!
Now you are rationalizing that it is “culture”. Which culture promotes false reasoning!?
It makes sense why the gentle and couth members do not engage you in discussions
on this forum- except a few, like me,who have decided (and will) to continue to write
for important reasons. I am somewhat embarrassed by your line of arguments and
phony dispositions which you call “culture”.

That said, let me address the specifics again – hopefully I will succeed in inculcating
these things into you. [Otherwise, I am curiously waiting to see how far you will go
with you leadership].

You said: I do not know about you but if you are like me your plate would be too full
with more important things to do than with your incessant letter writing pretty much
ado about nothing, except to whine and grind about things that are mostly none of
your business in the first place, or simply to try to draw attention to your self.
Mr. Chair, having a job and a family is not something that you have to go ranting and
raving about! People started having families and jobs long time ago – the very reason(s)
we exist- one could argue like that! And, they don’t go using it as excuse for failing to
perform in other obligations! Some people have even more demanding jobs (and/or
yes, also very highly paid) but that’s not an issue that one should even go about on
this forum.

That, combined with your attempt to shamelessly draw attention to yourself, read
what you wrote to your fellow members. It speaks for itself.

Omara Alwala writes:

“The Chair has not received as many phone calls from individuals contrary to his
expectation. The Chair needs a break like everyone else! The Chair does not get
remuneration for being the Chair of LAONA. The Chair has a full time job and a family
as well to take care of like most everyone. The Chair deserves in every bit as much
understanding as everyone else on the Board. Nevertheless, the Chair welcomes frank
open discussions on every question or issue about the Association. The Chair resents
divisive behavior.”

Tell us, who is that person ranting and raving, whining and grinding that he has not
received many phone calls contrary to his expectation? Why do you like cheap
attention? Talking about jobs and family, how many people are cultural leaders and
have many other bigger demands?

It makes perfect sense now why Ben coined the word “okwonification”. I am seeing a
light at the tunnel where I can aptly apply it.

Let me give you a few tips if you want natural attention drawn to you:

a) Do you job of Chairmanship perfectly, and stick to your role – not Treasurer's!
And not using Secretary as weapon/shield to advance your dubious goals. That’s not
culture. Culture does not promote false reasoning!

b) Or, write original articles like I did (for Thanksgiving) instead of copying and
pasting gomesi articles or UNAA code of conduct, etc.

Start with the above and you will have natural attention drawn to you. Forget about
that tactic of telling people not to use Wikipedia because you are a prof, and then you
turn around and use the same Wikipedia. This type of “inappropriate appeal or misuse
of authority”- a form of fallacious argument, which will not earn you natural attention!
It will not help you maintain your leadership either!

Moreover, you must understand that in this age, there is something called “multi-
tasking” – a term borrowed from the digital technology world. Every knows you are so
afraid of, and challenged by technology. I was surprised that all along you had never
even heard of “skype”! And it took many many hours for someone to remotely help you
install it on your computer! And you have the guts to even mention the name ill-fated
software! That exercise that I carried out was to leverage the LAONA crowd to help me
in my requirements elicitation. That’s what they call being smart. Get it right. Whether
or not you accepted it was/is not an issue! The original target clients were different.
But I also wanted to make LAONA grow, by building confidence in members through
“progress reports”. You don't get it! We don things for reason(s) beyond the ordinary
things that linger in your mind.

And who told you it is not my business to ask about the inconsistencies? Let me
dissect it for you!

Here is a situation where the Chair asks the Secretary to send out a November bank
statement to members “for your review”. Shrewd members review the bank statement,
and find some fabricated information or inconsistencies. A member asks a question,
directing it to the sender of the original email (who happens to be Secretary). The
Secretary makes all [seemingly genuine] effort to respond, but her response falls short
of the member expectations. The member delves deeper by asking more specific
questions. The Secretary, for whatever reason, cannot confront the fire, and she ducks
and runs. The Chair appears from nowhere, enraged – asking why the member who
asked the question is “attacking” the Secretary. The Chair misuses his authority and
diverts the topic and refuses to answer the question.

If all leaders were like these, life would be very hard, if even possible!

You wrote, “Only Caesar and Ben supported your Constitution openly at that time! It
makes sense why you want to keep them far away so you can keep exerting you
tyrannical power."

I have nothing personal against you and Ben. However, isn’t it rather strange that you
are the usual two members out the over 30 members we have in the Association, who
are often posting negative stuffs about the Chair or Board members as the case may
be?

You say there are only two? We don’t need to many people to be posting the same
stuff. That would be called “duplication of efforts” – which is a waste!

You say only two people keep positing, how about the treasurer – who has given you a
big break? How about that positing from your vice. And how about this new posting
today with the following interesting maxim:

=> Time for excuses are over and members want to see actions and way forward rather
than bedo deng adenga bala Ogwal-Ogwal agweno tye atongo.

Majority are so exhausted of your living-in-denial leadership!

You said: Do I need to remind you that Ben had an opportunity to serve as an
honorable Board member but quit the Board membership through his own volition?
You must ask yourself why he left that “golden opportunity”. You are a first class, odd
person at fantasizing, by mere fact that you call it “golden opportunity”. Again, it is
called living in denial. And yet Ben continues to be a regular contributing, who is
gaining popularity among the majority day by day! In this age you still fear using the
google-group? Is our culture supposed to be techno-phobic? No way! We are not going
backwards! You are not going to succeed in taking us back to those old days – called
antediluvian times!

You said: In addition, do I need to remind you that you too had a golden opportunity
to make a real contribution to the Association with your ill-fated software initiative but
you chose to withdraw it from our consideration for reasons we can only speculate but
best known to you?

Mr. Chair, you are such a technology-phobic person that it would take ages to get that
fear (of technology) from you! If it could take many many hours for a person to
remotely help you install skype, how then can you even have the guts to say “ill-fated”
software? You don’t even realize that even the survey tool that I used to help with the
polls is called software!

And, there is this term that I have always used, but it seems it is exotic to you –
because you and technologies seem to have a grudge. I have repeated, time and again,
that I was leveraging the LAONA crowd to do requirements elicitation! Measurements
of target end user attitudes (like yours) are also one of the key components, because
we need to understand the psychological settings of the potential users. You just
provided a perfect case study – and our new product line of software is in the offing –
with all these end user anticipated fears factored in! It is not like fish farming where
you just go and throw fish eggs in the water, and come back to harvest it after
whatever months. You know that area better!

Anyway, let me make clear to members why Mr. Chair was against the technology:

1. I had ignored his advice – when he asked me NOT to include the names of other
members in the demonstration report. He considers those people enemies, but the
Chair must understand that his enemies are not ours! So he ended up hating the
“software” too!

2. I had criticized his meaningless “anywhere and everywhere” utterances, and I

went ahead to develop a complete technical solution – which made the Chair (then a
facilitator) look bad. He was presenting himself to be knowing everything, including
digital technologies, until I proved that he dreads technologies like “kalalang”! [And
this solution, is being taken up by Google – so that talk of ill-fated is sheer ignorance
on part of the technology-phobic Chair!]

3. I had challenged him when I announced my candicacy. Although mine was a

mock candidacy, I did it because the Chair had started exhibiting his ego-centric
behavior, e.g. he wanted to be the only speaker for all the two days at the Philly
Convention. I got a report of how good a speaker he is anyway. It is culture, he says!

You said: Listen; in a cultural association such as ours, it is always wise to think twice
before you leap about anything.
That’s why I asked you think twice about “members and friends” classification when
every one is a Lango. It doesn’t make sense. You are not trying to miseducate me here,
and I hope you will not try it again. I am far too advanced for that kind of childish
counsel/advice. You could not even attempt to solve the fundraising riddle, and you
think you can play with my mind through elementary tricks? Let’s get serious with
reasoning Mr. Chair. Let me break it to you. There are three main methods of mind-
control: FEAR, OBLIGATION AND GUILT- and you are trying to use some of these
things on our members, including your fellow board members – but that strategy is
already outdated. You do it only at your own risk! I write/respond so that other people
get to know you better!

You said: There is no need for you or anyone else to always assume an unnecessary
self destructive argumentative posture just to try to prove that they were the smartest
kid on the block? No body cares! Hello! It’s a cultural organization!

This one is a classic fallacious argument, mostly used by losers. Please, stay away
from it! We are determined to make Lango develop, at last! You don’t seem to get it
even after I keep pumping things into you. Such things you say won’t move or change
me. I didn’t say those words. It is your own observations, and I am not responsible for
it. Just thank God some of these things have made you what you are! It has helped
some of us to come out of the isolated farmlands to join fellow Lango people, finally.
Let’s not continue with the anti-social behavior! It is now a new world!

And thank you very much for discarding that very outdated “Yours truly” thing.

Before I forget it, let’s not divert from the topic. The topic is/was:

Again, what payments are pending? And why the shift of goal posts after clearance of
#1005 and #1006? We need to have that old transfer done and account done before
our mighty Treasurer returns from her holidays! I am afraid she won’t be very happy if
things are still “pending”!

We don't want to carry this mess into the new year, unless we really have time to
continue playing these very simple word tricks at the expense of our reputation. And
these electronic trails (emails) serve as evidence/premises for future arguments - just
so we all know.

Caesar

P.S Reread my original report before you try to respond. Ask questions if you don’t
understand a thing.

Let's get this right. The Secretary CAN confront any fire on this forum and CAN go toe to toe
with anyone on this forum as well, when necessary. The Secretary never ducked or ran as you
state in your email. The Chair wanted to address the questions himself directly. That is all there
is to it.

Florence,

Thank you for letting us know that you can confront fire on this forum and that that you can toe to toe
with anyone on this forum as well, when necessary. Indeed that's what we expect of everyone here. I
am particularly aware that you can do that, from your past performances (See forwarded email below).
However, you missed my point. Why do you selectively respond- and dash off (duck and run) when the
probing gets deeper and deeper, and then you end up saying, "the Chair wanted to address it himself".
Why ?

And the point is not about going "toe to toe". If only you provided straightforward (uncompromised)
reports at the first instance, there would be no need for the "toe to toe" . Really. Like I said, it is very
expensive/consuming to sustain fabricated information.

And like our Treasurer once advised: "We can not just put words together to explain our way out of
things. Words only connects when the truth is told."

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I hope that help!
