ICICI Bank is India's largest private sector bank with total assets of Rs. 5,367.95 billion (US$
99 billion) at March 31, 2013 and profit after tax Rs. 83.25 billion (US$ 1,533 million) for the
year ended March 31, 2013. The Bank has a network of 3,603 branches and 11,162 ATMs in
India, and has a presence in 19 countries, including India.

ICICI Bank offers a wide range of banking products and financial services to corporate and re-
tail customers through a variety of delivery channels and through its specialised subsidiaries in
the areas of investment banking, life and non-life insurance, venture capital and asset man-
agement.

ICICI Bank was originally promoted in 1994 by ICICI Limited, an Indian financial institution, and
was its wholly-owned subsidiary.

Requirements:-

We got the requirement from one of our partner, they are Central monitoring service provider
for ATMs of various banks ie; ICICI Bank, Indusland Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, etc.
They comprise with CCTV, Intrusion, Vibration Sensor, etc. All these device’s control compo-
nents kept in back room of ATMs which is controlled by mechanical/ manual locks. They re-
quired access control system which can control the back room door of ATM, but the door
should not be open by preregistered user. It should be controlled by real time authentication
credential provided by control room.

They required an access control solution which can use a One Time Password to open the
door. The OTP (One Time Password) should be provided by control room on real time request.
The user should use the OTP to open the door and after one time use the OTP should be ex-
pired.

Solution Offered:-

S mart I has deployed the solution through our Integration Partner. Solutions proposed with
single door pin pad based access control system (smartSINGLE) with access control software.
smartSINGLE is connected to control room through TCP/IP. At central location Access Control
Software installed which is used for generating OTP, data downloading and for generating re-
ports.

Now ATMs back room is secured with smartSINGLE single door controller which controls the
door and gives the access of the door to user only if they enter the right OTP. The solution has
been success fully implemented at various sites. In first phase they have implemented the so-
lution for 100 sites, at some of the sites installations are in process, it will be completed very
soon.
