Participants: Athens, Auburn, New Berlin, Pawnee, Pleasant Plains, Riverton, Williamsville
Track and competition surface: There will be NO TAPE allowed on the track surface. CHALK or
TENNIS BALLS ONLY please.
Track: ¼” spikes or less are required. Please do not use tape on the track. You may use cut up
tennis balls or bean bags for relays.
High Jump and Pole Vault: 1/4” spikes or less are required. Starting heights will be determined
at the coaches meeting.
Long Jump and Triple Jump: ¼” spikes or less are required. Long and Triple Jump will be run
cafeteria style with a 45 Minute Time Limit.
Entries: Each school will be allowed two participants in each individual event and one team in
each relay. Individuals may participate in no more than four events according to IHSA
regulations. Entries need to be entered into www.athletic.net no later than noon on
Wednesday, May 1st 2019. You may substitute on the day of the meet at the coaches’ meeting,
but we will not reseed lanes and heats.
Lanes and Heats: Meet lane assignments will be given to coaches at the coaches meeting. All
running events will be finals. Scratches may cause some heats to be combined on meet day.
Field events: Shot, discus, long jump, and triple jump participants will be allowed four
attempts. Field events will begin at 4:00pm. Starting heights for the pole vault and high jump
will be determined in the coaches meeting.
Track events: Please see the attached schedule. Track events take priority over field events.
Athletes need to be prompt when reporting for track events. Athletes need to report to the
Clerk of the Course (southeast end of the track) for lane assignments on the first call. Athletes
who report too late will not be allowed to run. All track events are finals. There will be no
prelims.
Starting blocks: Starting blocks will be furnished. However, you may bring your own.
Batons: Please provide your own batons.
Awards: Medals for 1st – 3rd place, and ribbons for 4th – 5th places will be awarded. A
championship plaque will be awarded to the 1st place and runner-up teams for both boys and
girls.
Scoring: Six places shall be awarded in all events, boys and girls, including the relays and will be
scored 10-8-6-4-2-1 in all events.
Infield: No one will be allowed inside the track except judges, contestants in the current track
event, and coaches. Please make sure everyone is aware of this policy.
Workers: Each school will be assigned a field event. Please bring enough help for the event
you are assigned. Assignments are listed on the next page.
Admission Fee: There will be an admission fee at the gates for all spectators. $4-Adults, $3
Students, and $1 Senior Citizens.
An Auburn High School track and field coach will be accessible at the finish line throughout the
meet to answer questions or provide assistance. Auburn head track and field coaches are:
