    Test-1 (15%)

    Max. allowed time: 2 hr

    Exame instructions
     Using mobile as a calculator is strictly forbidden.
     Sharing any material in exam hall is not allowed.
     Cheating will result automatically disqualified from exam.
     Use of paper rather than question & answer sheets will not be entertained.

    1. Determine the support moments of the continuous beam shown in Fig. 1 using Slope deflection
    method.. The support at A rotates through 0.15 radian in a clockwise direction and the support at
    C settles down 10 mm; E = 2.1 x 105 N/mm2 and I=4x104 mm4. Assume A is fixed supported, B is
    a roller, and C is a pin. EI is constant. (8 marks)

    1. Determine the joint moments using Moment Distribution Method. Assume the supports at A, E,
    and D are fixed. EI is constant. (7 marks)
