1. (a) From the following details calculate (i) E.L and (ii) HPL credit as on 31-10-2002.

(i) DOB 12-10-1942


(ii) DOA 13-10-1963
(iii) Balance on 1-7-98 E.L. 152 days HPL--- 90 days
(iv) Extra ordinary leave from 9-8-98 to 21-8-98
(v) E.L. for 20 days from 11-6-2001 followed by 40 days of commuted leave.
(vi) 26 days of unauthorized absence from 1-9-2002 treated as dies non.
On his transfer to New Delhi on 15-11-2001, he availed of 8 days of J.T. against the
admissible 15 days.
(b) Calculate encashment of E.L. from the following details
Basic pay 12,500 D.A 52%, HRA 15%, CCA Rs. 350, Special pay
granted for adopting small family norms Rs.250.
2. (a) From the following details Calculate (i) E.L and (ii) HPL credit as on 30-6-2001.

ii) Entered service as probationer and confirmed from the same date 10-6-1966.

vii) E.L. for 45 days followed by commuted leave for 30 days from 1-8-1998.

iii) EL on 1-1-1994 – 168 days. HPL –100 days.
iv) EOL from 10-2-1994 to 19-2-1994
v) E.L for 18 days from 23-12-1994
vi) He was on foreign service in India from 1-3-1993 and 28-2-1994.
vii) On his transfer to a remote locality on 11-1-1995 he availed of only 5 days
joining time against admissible 15 days.
(b) Calculate encashment of E.L. from the following details

4. (a) From the following details calculate (i) E.L and (ii) HPL credit as on 1-1-2001
i) DOB --- 1-6-1941
ii) DOA --- 1-6-1964
iii) E.L at credit on 27-1-1982 --- 60 days and HPL 130 days.
iv) Was on E.L for 71 days from 1-2-1987 followed by half pay leave for 40 days
which was later converted into commuted leave on full pay.
v) Was under suspension from 1-12-1987 to 31-12-1988, the period of
Suspension regularized leave kind due.
5. From the following details calculate (i) E.L and (ii) HPL credit as on 1-1-2000
i) DOB -- 22-5-1940 ii) DOA --- 1-10-62
Leave at credit on 31-12-86 E.L -- 10 days H.P.L =- 99 days
He had previously availed of ( a) Leave not Due without medical certificate for 70 days.

6. From the following details calculate (i) E.L credit on superannuation.

Commuted leave for 25 days from 15-4-1987
E.L. from 15-4-88 for 44 days.

He was on Foreign Service at Nigeria from 1-3-1990 for a period of one year.
E.L. for 12 days from 1-3-1992
E.L. for 38 days from 25-12-1992.
The Government of India has certified that he would have continued to officiate but for
proceeding on leave and deputation out of India.
