Adore ao SENHOR

Even though it is a wonderful blessing, worship a great responsability. Sadly, much of the worship offered in the
name of Christ never ascends higher than the roof of the building the worshipers are in because of problems with
the worshipers, their practices and attitudes, or a combination of these items.

Embora seja uma benção maravilhosa, adorar é uma grande responsabilidade. Infelizmente, grande parte da
adoração oferecida em nome de Cristo nunca sobe mais alto que o telhado do edifício em que os adoradores estão,
por problemas com os adoradores, suas práticas e atitudes, ou uma combinação desses itens.

Such problems abound in the denominations of men. They engage in many unauthorized practices in their services.
Their members have not submitted to the commands of the gospel for the cleansing of their souls, thus, they are still
polluted by their sins which makes acceptable worship impossible.

Tais problemas são abundantes nas diversas denominações religiosas dos homens. Eles se envolvem em muitas
práticas não autorizadas em seus serviços. Seus membros não se submeteram aos mandamentos do evangelho para
a purificação de suas almas, assim, eles ainda são poluídos pelos seus pecados, o que torna impossível o culto
aceitável.

While such is sad, it is even more depressing to think that among those Who have obeyed Gos’s plan of salvation and
have been added to His Church (Acts 2:47), many problems with worship exist. Unauthorized practices, improper
attitudes, and faulty solutions to problems in worship have all added to the dilemma that exists in many local
churches. What dilemma? Even though they gather in the name of Christ to worship God, in reality, not much
worshiping is done for their worship is not true.

Embora isso seja triste, é ainda mais deprimente pensar que entre aqueles que obedeciam o plano de salvação de
Deus e foram adicionados à Sua Igreja (Atos 2:47), existem muitos problemas com o culto. As práticas não
autorizadas, as atitudes impróprias e as soluções defeituosas para os problemas da adoração aumentaram o dilema
que existe em muitas igrejas locais. Que dilema? Embora eles se ajuntem em nome de Cristo para adorar a Deus, na
realidade, não é feito muito culto a Sua adoração, não é verdade!

PRÁTICAS NÃO AUTORIZADAS

Some seek to offer worship whose basis is not the Word od God but the mind of man. A sure way to make worship
meaningless is to include the traditions, doctrines, and creeds of men in it. That is exactly what the Pharisees had
done in the time of Jesus. He spoke of them in Mt. 15:9 when He said, “and in vain”. In spite of this proclamation,
many people still include practices in their worship which originate with man. Thus, their worship is vain.

Alguns procuram oferecer adoração cuja base não é a Palavra de Deus senão a mente do homem. Uma maneira
segura de tornar a adoração sem sentido é incluir nela as tradições, doutrinas e credos dos homens. Foi exatamente
o que os fariseus fizeram no tempo de Jesus. Ele falou deles no Mt. 15: 9 quando disse: "e em vão". Apesar desta
proclamação, muitas pessoas ainda incluem práticas em seu culto que se originam com o homem. Assim, sua
adoração é vaidosa.

Others include in worship things once authorized under the Old Law, the law given to the chidren of Israel through
Moses. The things of the Law of Moses are no longer acceptable expressions of worship. Such practices as dancing,
playing musical instruments, and offering animal sacrifices, though once acceptable practices under the Old Law, are
no longer pleasing to God because that law is no longer in effect. Jesus fulfilled (Mt. 5:17). He took it “out of the way,
nailing it to the cross” (Cl. 2:14). Following His death on the cross, He instituted His law, the gospel (Rm. 1:16) – the
“perfect law of liberty” (Tg. 1:25), the NT (Hb. 9:16-17). His blood ratified a new covenant between God and man
(Mt. 26:28). Since all authority is religion now resides in Him (Mt. 28:18), all things, including worship, must be done
in His name, i.e., by His authority (Cl. 3:17). Those in the NT who wanted to bind things frim the Old Law were quickly
rebuked and emphatically told they had “fallen form grace” (Gl. 5:4). Outros incluem coisas de adoração, uma vez

autoridade é religião reside nele (Mt 28:18), todas as coisas, incluindo a adoração, devem ser feitas em Seu nome,
isto é, pela Sua autoridade (Cl 3:17). Aqueles no NT queriam atacar as coisas da lei antiga foram rapidamente
repreendidos e enfaticamente disseram que "caíram da graça" (Gl.5: 4).
