RATIONALE

The Department of Education (DepEd) fully supports the continuing professional development of its teaching personnel based on the

principle of lifelong learning and its commitment to the development of teacher’s potential aimed towards their success in the profession. This

can be done through the school-based LAC, which primarily functions as a professional learning community for teachers that will help them

improve practice and learner achievement.

Today, through training’s and seminars, teachers craft as facilitators of learning in school becomes more creative to improve every

student’s knowledge, skills and attitudes for them to be globally competitive. The child is said to be the center in the educational process. They

are the main concern in delivering effective instruction for quality outcomes. Moreover, teachers are challenged to create an effective learning

environment, improve teaching-learning atmosphere and abreast to the latest researches in education. Teachers should always look for

opportunity for self- improvement and self-reflection. With these in mind, teachers are also encouraged to participate in community linkages

and recreational activities that will keep them balanced and motivated to work with passion and commitment. Thus, planning ahead is a very

great help and support for teachers in their field of work.


OBJECTIVES:

a. Undertaken activities to improve performance indicators through access, quality and efficiency in at least 75% Mean Percentage

Score in PT’s;

b. Conducted remediation/enrichment programs to improve performance of students-at-risk and learning outcomes of Grade 8

students;

c. Initiated 4-5 LAC SESSIONS on about different topics and concerns on AP Grade 8;

d. Organized a demonstration teaching and post conference in the grade level for teacher enhancement;

e. Visit and tour on historical places for additional learning and building camaraderie within the grade level; and

f. Organized community service and other humanitarian activities for the community involvement.
