According to my research, there are seven countries which are not producing enough sales. The seven
countries according to my spread sheet and pie charts are Poland and Norway with 0% and Finland,

Recommendation
Based on my findings, I believe it is important to take fast action with these seven countries. Although,
reducing the price will guarantee us more customers, it is important to keep in mind what can bring us
more profit. Therefore, I believe the best way to increase profit would be by selling one and giving
another for half the price, instead of selling all the products for half the price.
For example, if we have a product that sells for $10.00 and we were to sell it four times, we would get
$40.00 and reducing the price to $5.00 would get us $20.00. Now let’s say we have the same product
for the same amount ($10.00), but instead of reducing the price to $5.00, we would sell one and give
one half off. If we were to sell this product four times, instead of making $20.00, we would make $60.00.
Analysis
Based on my research, I have realized there are five products that are not selling. The products are
Longlife Tofu, Chocolade, Geitost, Gene Shouyu, and Longlife Tofu. Instead these products have been
decreasing at a fast pace, with just three years there has been a drastic change.

Recommendation
Because these five products have been decreasing at a fast rate, the best solution would be to remove
them from the market completely. Removing no profit products would decrease transportation costs
and would decrease production and transportation costs, allowing the company to focus their efforts in
more profitable products.
Based on my findings, there are four vendors who have been doing a good job by keeping the sales
above 6,000. As for Callahan, although he does not do a bad job with the sales, they could be better.
The last three vendors have been below 5,000 and therefore need to work on their sale techniques.

In order to increase profits, vendors must have great customer service and know about sales
techniques. Therefore, all employees (good and bad) should attends monthly meetings, workshops,
and academies to increase their knowledge.
SELF ASSESSMENT
Pretending to be hired for a company to increase profit is no easy task and can be challenging for
someone who does not have such knowledge. From completing the Excel project, I learned there is
so much more to businesses and organizations than what I thought. In order to keep a business
running one must have the knowledge and understand business, which can be hard for someone who
has never had a business class such as myself. Although, I found this project very challenging, I
enjoyed it very much. I was put to think in ways I had never done so before, such as seeing how profit
can be increased.
I always look for sales and although I do not like the product, I will buy it if it is on sale just to try it.
Which is something many of us do not think about when buying groceries. It is a way of selling
products that are not being bought enough, or at other times they are new products that businesses
want people to try.
While working on my final I believe I have gained more knowledge in the business filed, not just for
making decisions, but really trying to figure out how to increase prices and make vendors improve on
their skills.
