 OCR Scanner

Scan with OCR

We offer the OCR tool that enables you to turn
images into searchable PDFs or text files
(available for Document 365 subscribers).

While in camera mode, you can choose to

scan the document with OCR (or you can
convert the scanned image later). It will
automatically extract text content from the
image.

Edit OCR Results

In addition, you can edit the text content to

correct or remove unwanted part of the result
after the conversion.
 iOS 11 Integration

Drag Image or Text to PDF

In split screen mode, you can copy image or text from the second app and
paste them to PDF documents by dragging the content (Using Safari app as
an example).

Transfer Files between Apps

You can drag files between apps to transfer them while in Split View (Using
the default Mail app as an example).

Note: The iOS 11 drag and drop functionality is available for iPad.

Screen Recording

With iOS 11, you can record your on-

screen activity while in Slideshow mode to
easily walk someone through your ideas or
lecture notes.

Document Viewer

Smart Crop

The “Smart Crop” tool helps you take out

of the unnecessary space of your PDF
documents. Tap “Viewer Mode” ( )
button to enable crop mode.

Night Mode

You can change the background theme

while reading in dark environments.

1. Tap on the top menu bar.

2. There are three themes for you to

choose from, including White, Sepia,
and Night.

3. Tap either one to change the theme.

Multi-Tab Viewer

You can open multiple PDF documents using multi-tab displays. You can
easily switch between files without leaving .

1. Go to “Settings” tab ( ) and scroll down to PDF READER section.

2. Then enable “Tabbed PDF Reading” to view multiple PDFs as tabs.

PDF Encryption

In addition to secure your private folder and app, PDF Reader now supports
to encrypt your PDF documents with passwords.

1. In file list, tap “Edit” and select the file(s) you’d like to encrypt.

2. Enter a new password to encrypt the file(s).

Create a Document

1. Tap “Import” and choose “New Blank

PDF” to create one PDF document.

2. To add pages, you need to use the page

editing tool to append more pages.

File List

To view file list, you can tap or to switch between List View or
Thumbnail View. (In List View, it doesn't support to manage files using drag
and drop.)
 PDF Annotations and Edits

Signature Images

The signature tool enables you to import your own signature images without
signing your name on the whiteboard.

Remove All Annotations

View your annotation summary in BOTA list, and tap the
delete button to instantly remove all annotations from the
PDF document.

Merge PDFs
Now PDF Reader support to merge more than 2 files at a
time. You can rearrange the order before merging files.

Screen Capture

The new snapshot tool enables you to

capture anything from PDFs without using
the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.

1. Open a PDF. Then tap and tap

“Screen Capture”

2. Tap and drag on where you would like it

to be captured.

3. Then save it to Photo Library or share with others.

Date and Time Stamp

The stamp tool now supports to indicate the

time and date info within the stamps. It’s
useful while you have a time-sensitive
document or would like to prove that you
completed a document on a certain date.
Text Search Optimization

1. Tap and search text within the PDF

you’re currently reading.

2. It will display a list of results and tap on

the result to jump to the corresponding
page.

Fill Color

1. Long tap on until you see a pop-up

menu.

2. Tap “Fill” and then click the color that

you want to add or change.

1. Tap on main menu bar, and you will

see a file list.

2. Select the file(s) you would like it to be

converted. Then tap “Next” and select
the output format. Tap “Start” to start
the conversion.

3. Tap “Task Manager” on the top menu

bar to check the converting process

Send Faxes from iPad

1. Open one PDF file and tap to fill in

the recipient’s information.

2. Tap Send to fax your documents from

your mobile devices. The service
supports to send faxes to 40 countries
around the world.

Note: To convert files or send faxes online, you will be charged by credits.
Those who subscribe to Document 365 or Deluxe Business Pack will have free
credits to proceed the services.
App Security Supported
1. Tap on the main menu bar and enter passcode in SECURITY field to
keep your app safe from being viewed by another person.

2. You will be required to enter the password each time you launch this
app. For users using devices of iOS 8 or later, you can unlock your app
with Touch ID.

Delete Files Stored on Kdan Cloud

1. Tap “ ” and sign in with your Kdan
ID for the file list.

2. Select the target file; then tap the drop

down menu.

3. You will see “Delete” appeared on the

menu.

4. Tap Delete to delete the file.
