COMMENTS ON VALVE DRAWINGS OF STAGE-IIA

EOPD VALVE
VALVE GA

1. Though Detailed views of X,Y,Z and D are provided same were not marked on the valve main
drawing. Same shall be marked (encircled)

2. Along with -Detail D-- it shall be mentioned it is for O-ring groove and provided on both side
flanges of the valve for better clarity.

3. Seat test shall be done on both sides i.e., forward and reverse. Same shall be incorporated in the
valve testing procedure.

DATA SHEET

1. Normal working pressure shall be updated as 9.8bar (being the dynamic head of the pump is
98m) instead of 92.1bar.

2. Given code of actuator (ZDAA10101A00) one letter (other features related letter is missed ) and
hence shall be corrected. Further following facilities shall be provided for the valve as per
specification.

a. Thermisters in all 3 phases

b. TOLR

c. 4-20mA Signal with internal 24v supply for SCADA purpose.

3. valve actuator shall have 2 sets of torque and position limit switches (2NO+2NC) Whereas only
one set of potential contacts only are provided. Hence one more set shall be provided. Similarly
contact rating of the limit and torque switches shall be 0.5A at 220v DC where as the offered
ones are of 0.4A at 220v DC. Hence shall be provided accordingly.

4. As per specification the actuator shall have the facility of lost motion hammer blow. Same shall
be confirmed.

1. Normal working pressure shall be updated as 9.8bar (being the dynamic head of the pump is

CYLINDER SIZING

1. During cylinder sizing calculations calculation is made on single cylinder basis but 2 Nos.
hydraulic cylinders are provided. Hence shall be reviewed.

HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT:

1. Temperature switch (20) is wrongly represented as 29 in the drawing. Same shall be corrected.
 2. Lockable ball valve (29) is wrongly represented as 30 in the drawing. Same shall be corrected.

3. Bypass cylinder description was made as 125mmx225mm in the legend and in the drawing it is
mentioned as 160mm bore x 300mm stroke. Similarly in installation circuit it is mentioned as
100mm bore and 160mm stroke. Hence same shall be reviewed and corrected as per actual
values.

4. Solenoid valve operating voltage is mentioned as 110v DC where as only 24v DC is derived from
the PSU. Neither the 110v DC is sought from customer. Hence same shall be corrected.

WRITE UP

1. In section -1 - point no-2 pressure shall be corrected to 175 bar instead of 170 bar.
2. In section -1 - point no-5 pressure shall be corrected to 120 bar instead of 100 bar.
3. In section-4.1 & 4.2 – point no-1&2 SOV-1 shall be replaced with SOV-2
4. In section-5.1 & 5.2 – point no-1&2 SOV-2 shall be replaced with SOV-1
5. In section-7 – SOV-1 shall be replaced with SOV-2
POWER CIRCUIT
1. PSU input supply shall be derived from the customer station DC supply instead of the
valve 3phase AC input supply, as the valve needs this supply during emergency closing
time.
2. Motor-1 &2 OFF feedback shall also be extended to customer
3. “Selected pump failure” contactor is K7 and “Both pumps failure” contactor is K6. Hence
in feed backs to customer either description or contactor number shall be changed.
4. Nomenclature of the feed backs K8,K10,K11,K12,K13 shall be modified by adding COMMAND.
i.e., “Bypass valve close command” etc.,

INSTALLATION DRAWING

1. In the legend bypass cylinder details was given as 100mm bore and 160mm stroke, where as in
the hydraulic circuit it is mentioned as 160mm bore and 300mm stroke. Same shall be reviewed
and corrected as per actual values.

2. At 4 Nos limit switches item number is mentioned as 20 same shall be corrected as 25.

GA DRAWING:

1. Working pressure shall be modified as 9.8 bar instead of 9.21 bar.

2. In detail D – item numbers 32,33,34 were present but same were not mentioned in the legend.
Hence shall be provided.
3. Seat test shall be conducted on both sides i.e., forward and reverse. Hence test procedure shall
be modified accordingly.

4. Performance test shall be done with emergency closing also for one time in addition with normal
opening and closing for 3 times. Same shall be incorporated.
