It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation for Ms. Napoleon. I had the pleasure of watching Ms. Napoleon grow into
the music profession in Senior Seminar Class as well as supervisor for student teaching. Ms. Napoleon is without a doubt among the
very finest pre-service teachers I have encountered in my years at Temple University.
As a student, Ms. Napoleon has been consistently at the very top of the class. Her work has been of the highest quality, always
completed thoughtfully, thoroughly and on time. Ms. Napoleon is a very reflective person constantly seeking to improve her skills as
a musician as well as in the classroom and rehearsals with thoughtful reflection, hard work and dedication. She is well-respected
among her peers for insightful thoughts and comments shared in class.
As a student teacher, Ms. Napoleon was assigned to Holmdel High School in the Holmdel School District, Holmdel, NJ, widely
recognized for their exemplary music program. The instrumental music programs at the Holmdel Middle and High School are
demanding and exemplary. Ms. Napoleon navigated all teaching responsibilities and rehearsals and general music classes in a most
professional manner demonstrating intuitive teaching skills beyond her years of experience. She was consistently well-prepared with
highly detailed lesson and rehearsal plans. Ms. Napoleon negotiated every teaching challenge and situation she faced with enthusiasm
and strong initiative. Ms. Napoleon enjoyed the highest respect from the students and staff members with whom she worked. She
demonstrated a high level of skills in her elementary placement at the Southwark Elementary School in the School District of
Philadelphia working seamlessly with her cooperating teacher creating a caring learning environment for all students to thrive. In all
the varied teaching challenges Ms. Napoleon consistently demonstrated that she has the maturity, fairness, work ethic, and finesse to
do the job extremely well. Ms. Napoleon consistently demonstrated a solid base of pedagogical content knowledge in all aspects of
her teaching. Students love and respect Ms. Napoleon.
As a person, Ms. Napoleon tops off her music and teaching excellence with stellar personal attributes. Sensitive, caring, dependable,
determined, talented, inspired, passionate, organized, consistent, humble, sense of humor and a great personality are just a few of her
many strengths.
I am thrilled to give my highest endorsement and recommendation of Alessandra Napoleon. It is my sincere opinion that any school
district that hires Ms. Napoleon will add to their staff a superior musician, stellar team player and be in possession of a rare gem of a
music educator for years to come. She is the type of new music teacher entering the profession who can be one of the future leaders in
our field. I am confident she will bring much to her students, school, and community.
