Abstract

Trash is both rural and urban problem in the city. The rise of garbage collection follows.

The type of garbage generated and the way the generated garbage is managed or disposed is

another issue. Vast amount of garbage is produced in the city and segregation program needs an

amount of money to be implemented. This problem has greatly affected the environment.

Proper garbage segregation helps recycling garbage and making them into money. It

reduces the use of certain materials. It lessens the garbage production in the city because people

will learn how to recycle. Some of the trash can be reused for other purposes. Properly disposed

wastes will make the environment clean and healthy. By segregating properly, the waste

collection is much more convenient. Although there is exhibited concern and an amount of

sensitivity about garbage segregation, sorting of garbage is less adopted.

The researchers aim to promote proper garbage segregation. In line with this, Garbage

Segregation game educates the user about sorting and disposal of garbage. The user is taught on

what to do with the garbage and how to segregate it according to three classifications:

biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclables. The user helps clean the city by segregating

garbage the households produce.
