ABOUT US
BE CRE8V | 2019

ABOUT STEAM
Since 2011, President Barack Obama addressed the need for STEM education in US, asking educators to prioritize
21st-century skills learning for the youth. Prof. John Maeda, president of Rhode Island School of design (RISD)
emphasized on the fact of adding Arts in STEM. Reasons being adding creativity and design to innovation and
addressing gender gap in tech And we were the early adopters of STEAM in India. This makes us well remember the
famous quote given by  Rabindranath Nath Tagore, "The highest education is that which does which merely gives us
information but makes our life in harmony with all existence."

STEAM helps students develop and practice Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Creative Design.
These Skills are important for the upcoming 21st-century students as rote memorization, repetition and general
knowledge won’t change the way students solve the problems. 21st Century comes with respective problems, thus the
students need to be trained with 21st Century Skills to enact and solve the problems in a much more efficient way.

STEAM learning applies meaningful maths, science, art and technology content to solve real-world problems through
hands-on learning activities and creative design. "To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems
from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science.", the well-said statement by Albert
Einstein. Students are provided with Innovative and Inventive approaches to solve Real-Life Problems such as floods,
Oil Spills, etc.

Global skill shortages in STEAM-related fields are redefining educational priorities. Schools are starting STEAM-based
learning programmes to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the 21st century. STEAM
learning will not only produce tomorrow's designers and engineers; it will develop innovative mindsets and the ability
to problem-solve, ensuring that our students become creators of technology, not just passive consumers.

Within the Classrooms, Trainers/ Teachers are encouraged to shift to Student-centered Learning in which Making is the
key element. While Making Phase, Education has been incorporated in a play based manner.

WHAT IS TRUE EDUCATION?

True education is the development of an individual's personality in ways which are individually satisfying
and socially desirable. We should develop so that we can contribute something meaningful to this society
by studying and learning, what has already been developed and give a direction to the future of our society.
For that matter, it becomes necessary for us to teach our kids, the new generation’s pedagogies. And
channelizing their inborn energy to the right direction, which only a right education can do. With the
growing thrust of technologies and innovation in our world, our pedagogical techniques have also been
evolved.

Our need to express ourselves freely, gave birth to Art, the earliest field ever known on this Earth. The
tendency of our mind to think gave birth to reasoning which became the genesis of Science. Then we
invented, numbers, the greatest boon to Science, and called it Mathematics. We made structures and
machines,  an application of Science in our society, and classified it under the category of Engineering. And
now we have a better term given to the application of Art in the form of text, images, and infographics,
Science and Mathematics in the form of calculations, operations, and machine language, Mechanical,
Electronics and most importantly Computer Science Engineering, known as Technology. Keeping in view of
shaping future education in our mind, we have deliberately created new and interesting  STEAM-based
learning projects and activities.
BE CRE8V | 2019

HOW WE DO IT?
Our educators are well-versed with concepts, compassionate and sensitive towards children. They use the
technique of Storification with voice modulation in fostering conceptual building and understanding among children.
And Gamification is used to make the class engaging and enjoyable. Our other simple yet significant pedagogical
tools is starts from the materials easily available in our real-life like paper, rubber bands, cardboard, DST’s to 3D
printed objects , coding and simulations in various softwares, which can be installed in laptops.

We understand that every child is unique. Some children like reasoning, few are inclined towards Technology, and
some loves to stay with Art. We bring out the hidden talent of a child, and gives him/her a space where he can
explore and become more aware about themselves, the real-world and nature around them. While teaching them
about Scientific inventions, we tell them about the history behind it. Hence, they connect history with the Science
without seeing them as the separate subjects, which inculcates interconnectivity of thoughts in their minds.

In each class, we introduce them to a real-world situation through a story, and ask them to identify the problem.
After problem identification, students are asked to innovate a solution. During this process, the children think,
reason, brainstorm, implement, design the solution and incorporate changes, wherever they encounter it as helped
by our educators, and finally color the designs in their own style.

HELPING SCHOOLS
We are well aware that schools make the present
educational curriculum. And in order to shape 21st-
century educational system, we need to compliment
it with STEAM-based, experiential and personalized
learning.

CREATIVE CURRICULUM BE CRE8V | 2019

ABOUT CREATIVE CURRICULUM

Children are naturally motivated to solve problems and
understand how stuff works. When they have an active role in
learning, they decide what they will do and learn after it
happens. As complied by the statement given by Benjamin
Franklin, "Tell me and I ll forget. Show me and I may remember
Involve me and I learn." When children are interested in an
outcome, they create theories that they test and modify all on
their own. Creative Curriculum is specially designed to empower
students with 21st century Skills.

With our world quickly changing & evolving into digital & smart
era. The introduction to Design, Coding, Smart Electronics, AI,
Machine Learning etc have real power to change the future &
create unique solutions to global problems. The students of
current and next generations are going to be the problem
solvers and leaders' of tomorrow. But sadly they are becoming
mere consumers of technology rather than makers and
inventors of technology. To enable our next generation of
inventors & problem solvers, Be Cre8v's Creative Curriculum
enable critical thinking in collaboration with problem solving &
logic building in children.

COMPONENTS OF CREATIVE CURRICULUM

Creative Curriculum has a flexibility of working with different education systems such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, etc. As all the
education systems have a basic need of STEAM-Based Experiential Learning. Creative Curriculum fulfills that dire need
with help of Play based Hands on Learning experiences. Creative Curriculum has various components to ensure 360
degree development of a student. Following are a few Components of Creative Curriculum:

ABOUT CREATIVE CURRICULUM BE CRE8V | 2019

ANIMATION:
It emphasizes on the development of students’ skills and understanding
of creation and responding by enabling them to apply their imagination
& rational thinking. This stimulate in students, the need to invent and
explore multiple solutions to a problem which enables students to
understand the value of reflection and critical judgment in creative work.
And, facilitates positive peer interaction, including receiving and using
feedback. Animation encourages self-motivation to create and problem
solve, using artistic literacy as a natural enhancement to learning in
other content areas. It also fosters positive attitudes toward Art &
Imagination. And, introduces various career possibilities.

JUNK JUGAAD:
The idea behind it is to nurture everyday life creativity in children with
simple projects, requiring very little set up time. Child gets a chance to
explore and experiment and try out new things for themselves. Junk
Jugaad is a great way to explore how different multitude of things go
together and developing spacial awareness and structural skills in
children.

ELECTRONICS:
Electronics is one of the key foundational skills to teach kids since a
basic understanding of electronics is essential to move on to many great
computing and robotics projects. Since electronics is the genesis of
modern-day technology. So, present world children should have a basic
understanding of this branch of engineering.

IOT:
The Internet of Things (IoT) connects various devices like refrigerators to
the internet by using software, to connect them to our daily lives. It is an
idea for preparing kids towards connected and intelligent environment.
IOT introduce the kids to the concepts behind the IoT and to how a
world made of connected and intelligent objects could look like. But
there is much more to explore. For example, the use and the role of data
