Specifications for MICROWELL PLATE READER

1. The system should be a 96microwell plate reader capable of accommodating U-, V-, or flat bottom type of
microwells.

2. The instrument should be able to support ELISAs and Microbiological assays.

3. The system should be capable of performing in following analytical modes of operations: Absorbance,
Qualitative, Quantitative, Semi quantitative and Kinetic

4. The instrument should have a dual operational mode i.e. stand-alone capability and easily controlled by
external PC through dedicated software/s for ELISAs and Microbiological assays.

5. Optical system should have capacity of filters on filter wheel. The standard wavelengths 405nm, 450nm,
492nm, 578nm, 630nm and 700nm should be available.

6. The system should have a lamp source of Tungsten Halogen with lamp saver function.

7. The system should be able to perform monochromatic, bi-chromatic and multi-chromatic measurements.

8. It should have 8channel speedy Optical Reading System capable of reading in about 8 seconds for single
wavelength.

9. Optical measurement range should be 0.000 – 4.000 OD

10. Linearity: 0.0 ~ 2.0 OD/492 better than ±1 %, 2.0 ~ 3.0 OD/492 better than ±1.5 %

11. Equipment should be programmable for min. 100 different types of user- defined test protocols that can be
saved on it.

12. The instrument should have facility for plate mapping.

13. The system should have three plate mixing speeds: Low, Medium and Fast.

14. The system should be able to calculate concentrations, cutoff and index equations.

15. The instrument should be able to store results of at least 2400 patient samplesand calibration curves as a
stand-alone unit.

16. The system should be able to store alphanumeric patient ID for sorting and printing patient reports by date,
patient ID, test, both by test and patient ID, plate ID and both by plate ID and date.

17. Results should be directly displayed and printed on in-builtthermal or an external printer.

18. Should have self-diagnostic checks for electronics plate motor, optics filter motor & lamp or other faults at
startup time.

19. Standard accessories should include one dust proof cover, one power cord, one paper roll and one
Operator Manual.

20. Validation protocols including installation qualification and operational qualification (IQ/OQ) should be
provided.

23. The instrument should be easy to install and services should be available locally to ensure that the break
downs are attended within 48-72 hours.

24. The instrument should be supported with availability of ELISA kits for Infectious markers for HIV, HBV, HCV,
Syphilis, Malaria, TORCH, and other Hormone and Autoimmune markers which should be easily
programmed on it.
