TEACHING
ENC1102: Composition II: Situated Inquiry of Writing & Rhetoric - Five Sections
This course features a focus on extensive research in analytical and argumentative
writing based on a variety of readings from the humanities. Emphasis on
developing critical thinking and diversity of perspective. In addition to generating
new knowledge, the research process also provides opportunities for students to
interrogate and revise their own conceptions of writing and research.

Certification candidates work to prepare for global citizenship by tailoring
activities for intercultural competence. Requirements include: Four courses
pertaining to selected theme, foreign language study, international experience
such as studying abroad, attending eight intercultural events, and creating a
synthesis reflection project.
