Pro-Watch Software Suite 4.5 Media Set

Overview
This Pro-Watch Software Suite 4.5 Media Set includes the Pro-Watch Software Suite 4.5 and
Pro-Watch 4.5 Web installation software with documentation.
Please refer to the Pro-Watch Software Suite Installation Guide (7-901073V14) and the Pro-
Watch Web Interface User Guide (800-12235V14) in the Documentation sub-folder in Disk 2
folder of the Pro-Watch media set for installation.
NOTE: The noun “disk” in this document refers to a software folder saved on the media
set DVD and NOT a physical disk.

Installation Preparation
In addition to this media set, you will need to purchase a Pro-Watch license key (see Pro-
Watch Software Keys User Guide, 800-08123V14), and install the following prerequisite soft-
ware located in the Prerequisites sub-folder inside the Disk 2 folder of the Pro-Watch media
set.
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1
• Microsoft Windows Power Shell 1.0 (only for MS SQL Express installations not using
Microsoft Windows 7).
• Microsoft Silverlight 5
• VC++ Redistributables 2013
Before you install: If you purchased a Pro-Watch license key, you still must take further steps
to obtain the key. Be sure to read the Pro-Watch Software Keys User Guide (800-08123V14)
included on your Pro-Watch installation CD. You will need to follow the steps in this docu-
ment to receive a Software License Keys from the Software Keys Voucher Manager. Install
the Software License on the machine using the Software Keys License Manager after
installing Pro-Watch.

Upgrading
If you are upgrading to PW 4.5 from a previous install, you need a new license. Follow the
process documented in the Pro-Watch Software Keys User Guide (800-08123V14) to obtain
a key.

Installation Notes
• The SQL Server Express 2016 SP1 install does not contain the management tools.
The install for SQL Management Studio can be found on Disk 2\Utilities\SQL Server
Management Studio.
• If you are upgrading an existing Pro-Watch installation that is Release 3.6 or earlier,
use the database upgrade scripts found in the Scripts > PW Upgrade Scripts sub-
folder in Disk 2 folder of the Pro-Watch media set to update the server. Please follow
the instructions and read the “Readme Release 7 database upgrades from R4 -
R6”file carefully.
• Install the Pro-Watch software found in the Pro-Watch Installation sub-folder in Disk
1 folder of the Pro-Watch media set. Inside that sub-folder, you will find two programs;
New Install and Update Install. The Update Install program can be applied on top of
any Pro-Watch 3.81 or later build. The Pro-Watch Software Suite Installation Guide (7-
901073V14) is found in the Documentation sub-folder in Disk 2 folder. The Pro-
Watch 4.5 Release Notes are found in the Documentation sub-folder in Disk 2 folder.
• If you are running either Pro-Watch Lite Edition (PWLT) or Pro-Watch Professional
Edition (PWPE), set up a backup script per the instructions in the Scripts > Backup
Script sub-folder in Disk 2 folder of the Pro-Watch media set. This is necessary,
because Microsoft does not allow the SQL Server Agent to be used in conjunction with
SQL 2016 Express.
• Install the Pro-Watch Web Client software found in the Pro-Watch Web Installation
sub-folder in Disk 1 folder of the Pro-Watch media set. Inside that sub-folder, you will
find a New Install. The Pro-Watch Web Interface User Guide (800-12235V14) is found
in the Documentation sub-folder in Disk 2 folder.
• To install Pro-Watch mobile application on iPhone devices, download it from Apple
App Store.
• To install Pro-Watch mobile application on Android devices, download it from Google
Play.
