(Types of Films in the Philippines)

I. Objectives
A. Identify the different type of film to the economy of the country.
B. Integrate Filipino film to the economy of the country
C. Displays appreciation on Filipino film through short performance based from Filipino
movies
II. Subject Matter
A. Topic: Types of Film in the Philippines

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Checking of attendance
3. Tangod Ko: Linig Ko Advocacy
B. Motivation
Charade (Category: Filipino Movies)
Instructions:
1. Divide the class into 3 groups .Each group will decide who will be the IT. IT will act of
what he/she picked. Group members will guess the movie title.
2. Each group will have three Filipino movies to guess.
3. Groups with highest score will receive 5 points, 3 points for rank 2, 1 point for rank
3
C. Lesson Proper
1. Each group will be given a 1/8 illustration board to write their answer.
2. Students will answer the 4 pics 1 word that is align with the lesson.
3. Groups that get the correct answer will give their insight about their answer.
4. Ask further idea from other group if necessary.
5. Teacher will give inputs if necessary
6. Movie clips will follow.
7. Teacher will ask the students’ opinion on how film contributed to the economy of
the country. (Additional information will be given by the teacher)
8. Groups with higher score will receive the same scoring with motivation.

Group Activity “Cabbage Pass”


Instructions:
1. In the same group, the class will play cabbage pass.
2. With music, let the ball pass. As the music stops, whoever touches or holding the
ball will peel one leaf of cabbage. Written on cabbage leaf the hugot line to act from
Pinoy film.
3. Group member may coach the lucky member to perform the line well.
4. Attached is a rubrics for this activity.
5. Groups with best performance win. Same scoring will be used.
D. Generalization
Let the students do the generalization or let the students answer the following
questions:
1. What are the types of Filipino films?
2. What is the importance of film making to the economy of the country?
3. How can you promote Filipino film?

Social Studies: Brief discussion of history of Filipino film
Integration within the curriculum
MAPEH 10: It was discussed in grade 10 the film making in the country and likewise the
animation.
