I. Objectives
At the end of the class period, the students are expected to:
a. Foster creativity and mastery of the steps and combinations in cha cha cha, waltz and samba
b. Develop fitness especially health-related components as they perform with mastery and proficiency
their cha-cha-cha, samba and slow waltz routines
c. Enhance etiquette by actually displaying positive behavior before, while and after dancing
d. Observe safety rules and proper conditioning or warm-up in dancing to prevent injuries

I. Subject Matter
a. Topic: Social Dancing
b. Instructional Materials: CD Player, cha-cha-cha, samba, and waltz music
c. References: PE book page 94

I. Teaching Procedure
A. Activity
- The students will assemble themselves in 5 groups and make a cha-cha-cha, samba, and
waltz routines within 20 minutes.
A. Analysis
- What do you think were the factors that hindered you from doing better?
A. Abstraction
- Given the opportunity to participate in such activity regularly, how do you think can social
dancing contribute to the attainment of fitness and well-being?
A. Application
- Now that you have the knowledge and skills in social dancing, how do you think can you
influence others in your community to do the same?
I. Evaluation
The students will be judged according to the Rubrics in the book.

II. Assignment
- What are the leading diseases caused by a sedentary lifestyle which can be prevented by
regular participation in social dancing activities?
