RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief descrip on of the technology/resource.
Similar to Microso PowerPoint
Google Slides is a Presenta on tool that can provide Text, Mul Media, Charts, Graphs, Tables, Shapes, Images, and
anima on, in a customizable delivery. Google Slides allows for collabora on with shared links to slides and can have
mul ple uses contribute simultaneously.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collabora on among students in your classroom, or among
students and others outside of the classroom?

Google Slides allows for collabora on with a link share that can have mul ple users contribute at the same me. I would
use this feature to have students work on presenta ons from home, work, or class... anywhere an internet connec on is
available. For me specifically teaching Government I would have a group of 3-5 students show how a bill is created and
signed into law. I would assign each student a role, for example
Student A would show the different commi ees
Student B would show the evolu on different versions in the House and Senate pre/post amendments
Student C would show trends on the full chamber votes for similar bills
Student D would Sum up the process

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
● Based on the “value-added ra ng scale” above, how would you rate the technology integra on you described, using the
selected resource? 1

● Explain your ra ng based on the rubric indicators.

Although students would be able to use it for collabora on, the largest use would come from the teacher when
presen ng the lesson. It would not be impossible to teach without Google Slides as a chalkboard would serve the same
purpose for content delivery, yet having a digital lesson would make the class flow be er, and allow the lesson to be
delivered pre-prepared as opposed to endless wri ng during the lesson. The collabora on would be for projects a er a
lesson not during the actual lesson. (homework, team projects, team presenta ons)
