CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION

User Interface and Navigation

The Xbox One’s interface is an amalgamation of the Xbox 360 and Windows 8. It utilizes a
similar live tile design, while doing away with unwanted clutter of ads and promotions that
littered the Xbox 360 landscape. In the center lies the homepage, a collection of recently used
apps along with a few staple features like the friends list. The new UI also allows you to pin your
favorite apps and programs for instant access, which can be quickly selected by paging to the
left. Shifting to the right will take you the Xbox Live Store, which is still segmented by games,
music, movies and apps.

The colorful tile design is informative and easy to grasp, but it’s not without fault. Unfortunately
a large number the console’s options and features require you to navigate through a series of
menus away from the home screen. Additionally, browsing the online store can be troublesome
as selections are listed in long horizontal rows, which are hardly conducive to traditional console
controls.

Luckily most control issues can be circumvented with the Kinect’s voice-command features, but
that introduces its own set of challenges. At launch navigating with the Kinect is a mixed bag.
The device isn’t flexible, meaning it requires commands to be issued verbatim. For example,
stating “Xbox: Play Ryse” wouldn’t work. You would instead have to recite “Xbox: Go to Ryse:
Son of Rome“. It’s easy to understand why Microsoft would do this, to help ensure that the
device doesn’t mix up programs or commands; but it still adds a learning curve to the process.
That being said, it shouldn’t take you too long to get acclimated. After an hour with the machine
Notebook Review was more than comfortable with the basic voice commands and was able to
easily navigate between various apps and games within mere seconds. The Xbox One dedicates a
portion of its memory to focus solely on juggling multiple tasks, making the device perfect for
quickly switching from games to apps at a moment’s notice.

The Xbox One’s new Snap feature is also best with Kinect. Microsoft takes multi-tasking a step
further with the ability to snap most apps to the right side of the screen in a mini-window. Snap
works amazing well in short bursts allowing you to watch television during an in-game loading
screen or quickly scan your friends list while viewing a Twitch live stream. Learning the ins and
outs of Snap can be difficult though, as each application operates differently, and some apps like
Skype aren’t even compatible.

Of course, the majority of these features can still be accessed with a traditional controller, but it’s
hardly as seamless. To do so you will have to swap between multiple screens and options, while
the Kinect allows you to take advantage of these features instantaneously.

The Kinect does fumble commands at times and these issues can be augmented by background
ambient noise, but for the most part it works extremely well. Truthfully the device still struggles
with particular controls like selecting specific television stations; but in terms of general UI
navigation the Kinect is not only a viable option, it’s the best option.

Online

Last generation Xbox Live was a major selling point for the Xbox 360. But since then Sony has
bridged the gap considerably, and two competing services appear far more comparable at the
start of this new generation.

The Xbox One’s friend list capacity has been significantly boosted to offer a total of 1,000
friends. While Microsoft didn’t match the insane 2,000 friend maximum that Sony enlisted on
the PS4, it does introduce a completely new Followers feature. It’s a one-way connection similar
to Twitter that allows you to keep up-to date with that user’s gaming activity. The actions of your
friends and those you follow update in real-time showcasing what they are playing and when
they complete achievements.

The added social elements are nice, but the biggest boon to Xbox Live is the impeccable voice
quality. The Xbox One utilizes Skype’s audio codec in conjunction with a higher bitrate for
vastly improved voice audio quality over the Xbox 360. Not to mention that you can fire up the
actual Skype app at any time to chat with friends across multiple platforms.

Matching up with your friends is also easier this time around with the introduction of the new
“Smart Match” system. Selecting the option in a game will automatically pair you in a friend’s
lobby, instead of forcing you to fish for their profile through your friends list. Smart Match also
issues out invites to your party members automatically when you enter a match. It’s not a drastic
change, but Microsoft has made the already simple online party structure even more intuitive.

One noticeable letdown is the lack of Twitch live streaming support at launch. The Xbox One
currently has a Twitch app that allows you to view streams, but unlike the PS4 players have no
way of streaming their own content at the moment. Luckily Xbox One users will eventually be
able to broadcast their gaming exploits to the world, but they will have to wait until 2014.

Not all is lost though, as you can still record and share gameplay clips. The Xbox One allows
you to instantly capture the last 30 seconds of gameplay by saying “Xbox: record that”. Longer
clips can also be captured through the game’s DVR app, but it will require you to leave the game.
Once you have the desired clip in hand, you can edit it down in Upload Studios to share it with
your Xbox Live account or publish it with SkyDrive.
Xbox Live places a big emphasis on the cloud with integrated cloud saves, which are synced
directly to your account. So even when playing on a friend’s Xbox One you’ll still have access to
all your save data. Best of all it’s available to all users, even those without an Xbox Live Gold
subscription.

It’s great that the Xbox One offers cloud save functionality to all of its users, but it’s the
exception to the rule. The majority of the system’s apps and features are gated behind a
subscription gate. Anyone looking to get the most out of their Xbox One will need to opt into
Xbox Live.

Television

The Xbox One’s television integration is undoubtedly the console’s most ambitious undertaking.
Microsoft has not been coy about its intentions to make the Xbox One the centerpiece of the
home entertainment system. With the console’s ability to directly stream cable or satellite content
in conjunction with other digital media and apps it may just be able to make that goal a reality.

Connecting the Xbox One to a cable/satellite box is a straightforward and painless process. In
most cases the Kinect will recognize the device immediately (via its IR blasters), though you can
also input the model manually if desired.

The console features its own television interface called the Xbox OneGuide. It works similarly to
that of your standard cable overlay, providing detailed listing information along with a few
caveats. The Xbox OneGuide works with Kinect, allowing you to change channels by saying
things like “Xbox: Watch Showtime”. It works a majority of the time, but the device fails to
recognize certain channel listings and has a difficult time discerning between similar listings like
HBO Family and HBO Signature. Luckily you can also use the standard controller or a universal
remote as well.

One weak point for the Xbox OneGuide is its inability to interact with DVR and third party
recording devices. Services like Xfinity On Demand will still work while connected to the Xbox
One, but you will need your cable remote in hand to operate them.

In addition to your standard listings the Xbox OneGuide also offers an App Channel feature that
allows you browse content like Hulu Plus while watching live TV. The ability to instantly search
across a wide collection of your media content in real-time is promising, but the lack of available
content at launch keeps it from being a game changer. It’s up to the content providers to opt into
the App channel program, and currently popular Xbox One apps like Netflix have yet to enable
the feature.

With added functionality of the Xbox OneGuide and the ability to quickly jump in and out of
other apps, watching television on the Xbox One is already a pleasure. But the success of the
Xbox One as your living room command center will rely heavily on Microsoft’s ability to garner
additional support from content providers going forward.
Games

Despite all of its features the Xbox One is first and foremost a video game console, and like any
other game console, the value of this system will ultimately be determined by the games it plays.

At launch the Xbox One boasts a solid lineup of games, matching the PS4 in third-party support
while offering a relatively diverse collection of exclusive game titles; including Dead Rising
3, Zoo Tycoon and Ryse: Son of Rome.

Game performance was solid across the board, and the ability to suspend games while switching
in and out of other apps works seamlessly. Notebook Review was particularly impressed by the
graphical fidelity of Ryse: Son of Rome. The sharp and vibrant landscapes show a noticeable
improvement over what’s currently possible on the Xbox 360.

More pressing for the system will be what it offers going forward. Microsoft looks like it will
continue its strong focus on shooting games, as the highly-anticipated multiplayer
shooter Titanfall will be first AAA exclusive to make its way onto the Xbox One post launch.

In the past Sony has held a strong advantage in first-party development, with studios
like Naughty Dogoffering high quality exclusives such as the Uncharted franchise and The Last
of Us. Microsoft will be hopping to bride the divide though, as the company has opened five new
studios and invested a total of $1 billion into games for the Xbox One. The company claims that
it will be able to offer 15 exclusive self-published titles, including eight entirely new IPs within
the first year of the console’s release.

Of course the impact of these titles will rely heavily on their quality, and many of them will be
coming from either new studios or relatively unproven sources.

Pros:

 Kinect is a powerful UI Tool

 Multi-tasking is fast and easy

 Games showcase strong performance and increased graphical fidelity

Cons:
 Lack of App Channel content

 $100 more than a PS4

 Kinect as a game instrument remains unproven

 Xbox Live is essential for most apps and functions

DESIGN
DESIGN

System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is the overall process of developing information
systems through the multi-step process from investigation of initial requirements through
analysis, design, implementation and maintenance.

SPIRAL MODEL

The spiral model combines the idea of iterative development with the systematic, controlled
aspects of the waterfall model. This Spiral model is a combination of iterative development
process model and sequential linear development model i.e. the waterfall model with a very
high emphasis on risk analysis. It allows incremental releases of the product or incremental
refinement through each iteration around the spiral.

The spiral model has four phases. A software project repeatedly passes through these phases in
iterations called Spirals.
PLANNING: Requirements are gathered during the planning phase.

Requirements like ‘BRS’ that is ‘Business Requirement Specifications’ and ‘SRS’ that is
‘System Requirement specifications’. The objectives, alternatives and constraints are
determined.

RISK ANALYSIS: In the risk analysis phase, a process is undertaken to identify risk and
alternate solutions. A prototype is produced at the end of the risk analysis phase. If any risk is
found during the risk analysis then alternate solutions are suggested and implemented.

DEVELOPMENT: In this phase software is developed, along with testing at the end of the
phase. Hence in this phase the development and testing is done.

ASSESSMENT: Customer Evaluation:

 The focus is the identification of problems and the classification of these not different
levels of risks, the aim being to eliminate high-risk problems before they threaten the
software operation or cost.

 An implementation features of the spiral model is that each phase is completed with a
review by the people concerned with the project (designers and programmers). This
review consists of a review of all the products developed up to that point and includes the
plans for next cycle.

Career Centre Ltd. follows the above defined SPIRAL MODEL.

LINKING OF WEB PAGE
LINKING OF WEBPAGES

Without links, a page is an island unto itself, with no connection to anything else. To make
it a "real" web page, one needs to connect it to the rest of the World Wide Web—or at least
to its own personal or corporate web of pages.
The tag to create a link is called <a>, which stands for "anchor. Within the <a> tag, you put
the address of the page to link to in quotes after href=, like the following:
<a href="file:///C:/Users/pc/Desktop/signin.html"> <b> SignIn </a>
This link displays the words “Sign In” in blue with an underline. When a user clicks those
words, he/she sees the web page named signin.html, which is located on the server
computer.
“href” stands for "hypertext reference" and is an attribute of the <a> tag.
CHAPTER 9
WEBSITE TESTING
Web testing checklists:

1) Functionality Testing

2) Usability testing

3) Interface testing

4) Compatibility testing

5) Performance testing

6) Security testing

 Functionality Testing:
Test for – all the links in web pages, database connection, forms used for submitting or getting
information from user in the web pages, Cookie testing etc.

Check all the links:

 Test the outgoing links from all the pages to specific domain under test.
 Test all internal links.
 Test links jumping on the same pages.
 Test links used to send email to admin or other users from web pages.
 Test to check if there are any orphan pages.
 Finally link checking includes, check for broken links in all above-mentioned
links.
 Forms are the integral part of any website. Forms are used for receiving information
from users and to interact with them. So what should be checked on these forms?

Forms are the integral part of any website. Forms are used for receiving information from
users and to interact with them. So what should be checked on these forms?

 First check all the validations on each field.

 Check for default values of the fields.

 Wrong inputs in the forms to the fields in the forms.

 Options to create forms if any, form delete, view or modify the forms.

Cookies Testing:
Cookies are small files stored on the user machine. These are basically used to maintain the
session- mainly the login sessions. Test the application by enabling or disabling the cookies in
your browser options. Test if the cookies are encrypted before writing to user machine. If you are
testing the session cookies (i.e. cookies that expire after the session ends) check for login
sessions and user stats after session ends. Check effect on application security by deleting the
cookies. (I will soon write a separate article on cookie testing as well)

Validate your HTML/CSS:

If you are optimizing your site for Search engines then HTML/CSS validation is the most
important one. Mainly validate the site for HTML syntax errors. Check if the site is crawlable to
different search engines.

Database testing:
Data consistency is also very important in web application. Check for data integrity and errors
while you edit, delete, modify the forms or do any DB related functionality.
Check if all the database queries are executing correctly, data is retrieved and also updated
correctly. More on database testing could be load on DB,we will address this in web load or
performance testing below.

 Usability
Testing:
Test for navigation:
Navigation means how an user surfs the web pages, different controls like buttons, boxes or
how the user uses the links on the pages to surf different pages.
Usability testing includes the following:

 Website should be easy to use.

 Instructions provided should be very clear.

 Check if the instructions provided are perfect to satisfy its purpose.

 Main menu should be provided on each page.

 It should be consistent enough

 Interface Testing

Check if all the interactions between these servers are executed and errors are handled properly.
If database or web server returns any error message for any query by application server then
application server should catch and display these error messages appropriately to the users.
Check what happens if user interrupts any transaction in-between? Check what happens if
connection to the web server is reset in between?

 Compatibility Testing:
Compatibility of your website is a very important testing aspect. See which compatibility test to
be executed:
 Browser compatibility
 Operating system compatibility
 Mobile browsing
 Printing options

Browser compatibility:
In my web-testing career I have experienced this as the most influencing part on web site
testing.

Some applications are very dependent on browsers. Different browsers have different
configurations and settings that your web page should be compatible with. Your website coding
should be a cross browser platform compatible. If you are using java scripts or AJAX calls for
UI functionality, performing security checks or validations then give more stress on browser
compatibility testing of your web application.Test web application on different browsers like
Internet explorer, Firefox, Netscape navigator, AOL, Safari, Opera browsers with different
versions.

 Performance testing:
Web application should sustain to heavy load. Web performance testing should include:

 Web Load Testing

 Web Stress Testing

Test application performance on different internet connection speed.

Web load testing: You need to test if many users are accessing or requesting the same page. Can
system sustain in peak load times? Site should handle many simultaneous user requests, large
input data from users, simultaneous connection to DB, heavy load on specific pages etc.

Web Stress testing: Generally stress means stretching the system beyond its specified limits.
Web stress testing is performed to break the site by giving stress and its checked as how the
system reacts to stress and how it recovers from crashes. Stress is generally given on input
fields, login and sign up areas.

In web performance testing website functionality on different operating systems and

different hardware platforms is checked for software and hardware memory leakage errors.

 Security Testing:
Following are some of the test cases for web security testing:

 Test by pasting internal URL directly onto the browser address bar without login.
Internal pages should not open.

 If you are logged in using username and password and browsing internal pages then try
changing URL options directly. I.e. If you are checking some publisher site statistics
with publisher site ID= 123. Try directly changing the URL site ID parameter to
different site ID which is not related to the logged in user. Access should be denied for
this user to view others stats.

 Try some invalid inputs in input fields like login username, password, input text boxes
etc. Check the systems reaction on all invalid inputs.

 Web directories or files should not be accessible directly unless they are given
download option.

 Test the CAPTCHA for automates script logins.

 Test if SSL is used for security measures. If used proper message should get displayed
when user switch from non-secure http:// pages to secure https:// pages and vice versa.

 All transactions, error messages, security breach attempts should get logged in log files
somewhere on the web server.
CHAPTER-10
LIMITATIONS
LIMITATIONS

Advances in programming languages and available tool sets allow website designers a great deal
of freedom in website creation. With these advances, businesses can develop an online home that
truly reflects the business’s image, showcasing products and services or even creating online
shops that can replace expensive retail outlets. With all this design capability, there are still
limitations on what can be created. Before any website’s final design can be decided, it’s
important to know just what the hardest limitations are and how they may affect your ability to
bring your creative vision to the computer screen.

Website Colors

The colors used on your website contribute to the visual impression made on the site’s viewer.

While any color is available when creating your design, the technology used to access your site
creates a limitation on those that can remain visually appealing across the full gamut of access
devices. What looks great on an LCD in the office might not be as appealing on an older tube
monitor in some viewers' homes or on a mobile display. The color choices are further limited in
that they must support the readability of your website. Making viewers strain to read a site’s
information is a quick way of losing them. When designing a site, the limitations of
visual appeal, color contrast and the physical displays of devices all must be kept in mind
when choosing colors throughout a site.

Typeface Limitations

One of the most basic aspects of website design, the typeface selection for the text of the site, is
also one of its most limiting design features. Not every computer has the ability to display every
font, and if the font you’ve chosen for your site is not available for the viewer, an alternative
will be displayed instead. This substitution can cause distortions to appear in the viewer’s
version,
with misaligned text -- or just a subtly different set of visual characteristics -- that can throw off
the entire look of the site. Designers can choose among the more common fonts available like
Times New Roman or Arial to try to remain within the limitations, or a designer can instead
choose to invoke a programming workaround, using JavaScript or Flash to display the font of
choice.

Internet Limitations

While the days of dial-up network access are mostly past, website designers still have to
consider the physical limitations of network access when creating their websites. A fully
interactive and animated website can create a stunning impact on the viewer, but the bandwidth
required to download the site can overwhelm some slower connections, making the site all but
useless to a percentage of the possible visitors. A site must be developed to allow an equal
experience for slowly connected visitors as well as those with speedier broadband hookups.
Security is another concern. Any transactions or exchange of information must be protected. As
such, the designer is limited to trusted applications, and must avoid add-ons to the site that may
produce security holes that can leave information contained on the site vulnerable to theft.

Display Limitations

The display of the website itself serves as a design limitation for the designer. The design must
comply with as many browsers as possible, along with having a mobile-friendly display as well.
The more compatible the site, the more visitors you can service. You’ll want a design that scales
well at various screen resolutions also, extending its visible appeal across a number of devices
from desktops to cell phone

<p><strong>Welcome to the New Xbox Experience</strong>!</p>

<h3><strong>A New Dawn in Home Entertainment</strong></h3>

<p>In 1954, the introduction of color TV heralded the dawn of a new era in
entertainment. On November 19, more than 50 years after that dramatic shift, a new
era in home entertainment begins with the New Xbox Experience, as millions of
Xbox 360 consoles transform in an instant through the power of software.</p>

<p align="center"><img src="images/home1.jpg"></p>

<p>A bold new future begins now, where high-definition (HD) entertainment is
delivered in an instant, the best games share the stage with the best movies and TV
shows, and every experience is shared with friends and family in the same room or
around the world.</p>

<p><strong>Industry-Defining Milestone</strong>

<br />

By the end of this month, Xbox 360 will reach another industry-defining milestone:
25 million Xbox 360 consoles sold worldwide. It has taken the leading next-
generation game and entertainment console just three years to eclipse the total
lifetime number of original Xbox consoles sold. </p>
<p align="center"><img src="images/home2.jpg"></p>

<p>"The future of home entertainment is Xbox 360—it's on-demand, it's high-

definition, it's always social, it's all in one place," said Don Mattrick, senior vice
president for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft Corp. "With the
New Xbox Experience, we will reach the next generation of Xbox owners, 25 million
and beyond. We are at a watershed moment, backed by the largest entertainment
brands, with an incredible lineup of entertainment unmatched in any industry."</p>
<p align="center"><img src="images/home3.jpg"></p>
<p><strong>Friends and Favorite Entertainment</strong><br>
With the launch of the New Xbox Experience, Xbox 360 owners have a limitless
world where the best games, movies and TV shows are ready to share with friends
across the globe through Xbox LIVE:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Netflix instantly streaming in HD:</strong> The New Xbox Experience
isn't the only thing that will look great on your TV. Netflix is taking the first step by
instantly streaming movies and TV episodes in high definition with the introduction
of approximately 300 choices in HD via Xbox 360, including La Vie en Rose,. </li>

<li><strong>Xbox LIVE Party:</strong> Use Xbox 360 to create a virtual party on

your TV with up to seven friends. With Xbox LIVE Party, use voice chat while you
play games,* share photos in real time, and entertain friends all over the world.</li>

<li><strong>Personality plus:</strong> Create a customized, animated avatar and

literally jump into the world of Xbox LIVE. Your avatar is your game face throughout
the New Xbox Experience and represents your personality, whether you are serving
as an Xbox LIVE Party host, </li>

<li><strong>On-demand entertainment: </strong>Xbox 360 is home to the best TV

and movie entertainment, including more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes from
Netflix and a large online library of more than 15,000 on-demand high-definition TV
shows and movies from global partners such as Constantin, The Walt Disney Studios,
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM), NBC Universal, and Warner Bros.
Entertainment.</li>
</ul>

<p align="center"><img src="images/home4.jpg"></p>

<p><strong>Biggest Names in Entertainment</strong><br>
No device offers more entertainment than Xbox 360. In addition to Netflix in the
United States, major film studios around the world unveiled their plans to offer
feature films on Xbox LIVE in Canada, Italy, and Spain, truly transforming Xbox 360
into the world's largest online entertainment center. </p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Magnolia Pictures:</strong> The studio that released such
groundbreaking and award-winning feature films as The World's Fastest Indian, The
Host, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, and Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior will
be bringing its slate of compelling feature films to Xbox LIVE in Canada and the
U.S. </li>

<li><strong>MGM:</strong>MGM is bringing its library of blockbuster movies to

Xbox LIVE in Italy and Spain. MGM, already available in Canada, France, Germany,
the U.K., and the U.S., will offer films such as Carrie, Rocky, and Species on Xbox
LIVE around the world. </li>

<li><strong>Paramount Pictures:</strong> Paramount Digital Entertainment will

mark the two-year anniversary of making its movies available on Xbox LIVE by

CHAPTER 12

CONCLUSION &

RECOMMENDATIONS
CONCLUSION & RECOMMENDATIONS

I would like to conclude that this static website is created in order to see on how a
website can be created . This website is made to help people to know about Xbox-
Game on our site. This website has given the group members complete knowledge on
how the static web pages can be created using HTML.

At launch the Xbox One offers a framework that shows a considerable amount of
potential; but it’s not perfect. The television integration works great and the ability
pool content from various apps via the Xbox OneGuide is brilliant However,
Microsoft will have to get more content providers to opt in the App Channel feature to
make it worth using.

Byron's Final Verdict: There is no doubt at all in my mind that the Xbox 360 is a
fantastic machine. Not only does it finally look good its also extremely powerful. The
Guide is wonderful to use and for once I have to credit Microsoft for an excellent
User Interface that is both easy to use and good looking, something that doesn't
usually go together with Microsoft products. While I am still skeptical about the
launch titles, I have to say that the Xbox Live! Arcade is where many of you will
spend a lot of your time, its a great idea and being able to download demos finally is a
godsend as trying before you buy is vital for those kind of games and you really can
get hours of fun for very little money.
The High Definition graphics that the Xbox 360 produces are wonderful there is no
doubt, games like Kameo, Call of Duty 2 and Project Gotham Racing 3 stunned me
when I first ran them as I avoided some of the demo booths that have been hanging
around stores recently. The one thing I will say is that I hope designers make more use
of the 3 processors as some of the launch titles don't and it shows. We really are
entering an age where photo realistic graphics in games is becoming a reality.
But not everything here is rosy, The power supply is massive, yes again people have
mentioned it, but you have to see it to believe it and you can't really hide it away
incase you block up the air vents and overheat it. I have, like others in forums, have
had a number of in-game crashes and none of these were related to any form of
overheating, simply trying to load the dashboard when quitting a game can sometimes
lock it up. If Microsoft can fix these problems (I believe they are game problems and
dashboard problems mostly) then you have got what is almost the perfect Media
machine for the living room.
Brian's Final Verdict: After a review like this, there should be no doubt in your mind
as to what the "360" in Xbox 360 means. And by now, one should assume as to what
my verdict will be. Buy it if you don't have it. Play it if you got it. This console is
NOTHING like you have seen on the market. It's very early in game development,
and the games already look incredible. The game launch titles, while plentiful and
abundant, isn't the best it could have been. I was hoping for more titles from Ubisoft
personally, especially Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
An excellent interface, great sound and graphics and a tight console make this console
very impressive. Byron hit on quite a few of the same points I concur with. But, a
perfect console it is not. I am finding that when playing a game, the DVD drive is
loud. And louder than the old Xbox (of course my DVD that I put in my PC is very
loud as well....I am curious if it's related to the high RPMs). Another small, but yet
irritating, issue I have is the inability to listen to a CD while you are ripping it to the
Xbox 360's HDD. I can do this in Windows Media Player, so why not on the 360?
I have had a bit more game time in than Byron as I got my Xbox a bit earlier, but I
have not experienced the same problems as him. The issue I have run into twice now
related to the internet connection. For whatever reason, my modem decides to cut my
internet traffic off, requiring me to restart the modem. Each time I have been in the
Xbox Guide, blade movement stopped both times the internet got disconnected.
Restarting the modem and the 360 fixed the problem. But it sounds as if the guide is
pretty tight with the connection. I am hoping to fix my modem, and hopefully others
report issues similar to mine and we get this addressed via an Xbox Live update.
I have had the 360 for a week now, and I have about 30 hours of solid playtime on
(including one 8 hour straight session). That is more time than I had ever put into my
Atari 5200 the entire year I used it. If you are reading reviews to help you decide
whether not to buy an Xbox 360, don't rely on this review. Look at the games and see
if those are the game titles that interest you. The gaming is the most important part. If
you see potential in the launch line up, as well as the other 140 games currently in
development, then this review is for you.
