General Objective:
The objective of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the
evolution of telecommunication networks from fiaditional Public Switched Telephone
Network (PSTN), through thi: emergence of data networks, local area networks,
integrateci services digitai network (ISDN], deveiopment of tast packet switching, to the
lnternet.
