C. Lesson Proper

The term camera angle refers to the way a shot is composed. The two main idea of camera
angles are the inclusion of all camera shot types (motion pictures) and, the angle between
the camera and the subject. The focus of the topic today is the literal interpretation of
camera angles - the angle of the camera relative to the subject.

There are different camera angles to use in capturing photos that is used to
demonstrate the story in a news article. These photos show the more in-depth part of
the story that no words can explain, only photos.

Low Angle shot is when the camera is positions below the subject. This make the subject
more powerful.

High Angle shots is when the camera is position above the subject. This portray the
subject as inferior and weak.
Birds Eye View/Angle is positioned directly above the scene. This shot provides the
audience with a full view of the scene.
Close up shot is focused on character’s face showing the expression and emotion of the
characters.

D. Activity
Let the students identify the camera angles being shown through the sample photos.

E. Generalization
It is very important to students to learn different camera angles so that they can show
readers and audience a different side of the story that no words can explain to them.
Camera angles gives the reader/ audience the back story. Every story is more than just
words and dialogues. It’s not enough to tell the story, sometimes students must learn
how to show the story. It’s how they show perspectives of the story.
