I had the pleasure of precepting Lauren Gray for her final clinical rotation of nursing

school. We had five weeks together, completing twelve hour shifts. I directly supervised her

while she provided patient care to complex patients.

Ms. Gray has excellent clinical skills in assessing, treating and creating Plans of Care for

a full patient assignment. She was able to achieve this while delivering her care in a calm, caring

manner that left her patient’s and their families feeling the they had received excellent care.

Lauren also showed excellent interpersonal skills in collaborating with providers, clinical

and ancillary staff to assure patient’s needs were met. She actively sought out opportunities to

help staff and strengthen her clinical skills.

For the reasons above, I highly recommend Lauren Gray for the position of Registered

Nurse. I think she will excel in many different types of nursing units, providing great care, while

supporting and strengthening her coworkers.
